I never thought I would see the day I saw another Sarnian on here. :D
Honestly, I haven't bothered to check AskReddit in a very long time. I wasn't aware. :p Sorry 'bout that.
You can relax, I'd never want to turn this into.. that. I merely stumbled upon this theory last night and wanted to see if anyone else has thought of or come across some unique or mind-boggling theories.
I've playing guitar for the past year or so, which has been a fun experience for me. Lately though, I've found that I'm on a plateau. I haven't been improving or well, advancing, so to say. But, I could just been in a rut. My guitar of choice is a Epiphone ES-339. I think it's just beautiful :) At some point I would like to learn to play piano, or pick up the saxophone again. I haven't played that since the ninth grade.
I came here (well more or less fled) from reddit yesterday. I feel like reddit has became a shell of what it once was. So far I've been very impressed with the content as well as the community. You guys rock. I'm still learning the ropes, but I can certainly see myself more active here :)
Clerks. It captures the mood and attitude of the 90's slacker so perfectly, as well as being very funny, having relatable and memorable characters, but the writing and dialogue is where it truly shines.
When you flip over your pillow to the cool side. It's something so simple, yet so wonderful.
I never step on a crack on a sidewalk or walk under a ladder, and if I spill salt I throw some over my shoulder. Of course, I know none of this will really make a difference but better safe than sorry, right?
This is in fact what brought me to Hubski! I'd have to agree, I've only been a reddit member for roughly a year and a half, and I too have noticed this decline. :( Almost all of the subreddits I frequent have deteriorated into mostly pictures. One in particular introduced a self-post only day, and even banned meme pictures in an attempt to encourage more original content and discussion. This did work for a little while, but soon enough, the macros came back.
In no particular order: 1. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper 2. Rush - Permanent Waves 3. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon 4. Porcupune Tree - In Absentia 5. Devin Townsend - Addicted I can never grow tired of any of these. Narrowing it down to a mere five was much harder than I thought. I feel that if you were to ask me this again in a day or two, you'd have a different list.
Here's a great song, by one of my favourite metal musicians: Devin Townsend. Upon hearing this though.. You would not think he is one. At all. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/VmGdF7JKitg
I live up in the Great White North! More precisely, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
