It looks fantastic! And I definitely appreciate the flair this adds!
I'M SO HELPFUL
I don't think you're quite right in the thought that they'd come running back. Within not too long of seceding they had a working government up and running, with their own money, military, and economy.
I'm speaking of modern times, thought I was being fairly clear about that. And it depends on where you live, really. A heavily red state wouldn't vote for an atheist, but the opposite applies in a deep blue state.
I'm not saying there wasn't any science in there, but the point of the article was certainly not to teach new science or show discoveries or anything like that.
Shouldn't this be under an #atheism tag? I follow #science to learn about new discoveries and the like, not to get arguments for atheism.
I've been through one heck of a painful year. I'm looking forward to starting fresh and seeing some improvements in my life after a year that really didn't go according to plan.
Not to sound doubtful or anything, honestly curious, how are atheist subject to intolerance? In my experience I haven't seen much at all.
I would definitely turn off AdBlocker for Hubski. I don't have a lot of money, so the least I can do is look at some ads.
I will never understand the appeal of either Owen Wilson or Matthew McConaughey. They're unfunny, they're not good actors, and they're the same person in EVERY. SINGLE. MOVIE. Not QUITE as bad, but Vince Vaughn isn't my favorite either. Not as bad as those two, because he can at least be funny.
Well, maybe a little!
Becoming the Archetype is a progressive death metal band. Night's Sorrow is off of their first album. Oh my.
Every day would be Tron. I would summon mechs from the ocean as though they were kelp. I need money.
I guess I don't see the point in doing the same here. I mean, not to the point of getting killed, but there seems to be an marked intolerance in some communities. It's not THAT bad, but it doesn't take much for these things to escalate.
This knowledge has made my entire 2012.
Something you REALLY don't want to hear. Something that goes against your beliefs but is 100% factual. Stuff that hits you as though you just heard you were just diagnosed with terminal cancer. It's true, and that's the end of it. It doesn't even necessarily undermine your worldview, it just leaves you shaking, like you're gasping for air. That's a hard truth.
He did! He badged me! It was awesome! No homo.
I wish I could see what the sky looked like before there were so many people on Earth. I love the time I live in, don't get me wrong, but looking up at the stars and feeling small... best feeling in the world. I grew up in a small town in CO, and the sky still didn't look have as gorgeous as that does... stupid light pollution. Hey! Who wants to go to space? Let's just do that.
Pretty sure you have to accept Jesus to be Christian. That's sorta one of those concrete definitions.
How do you not decide to believe something? That's pretty much what the word means. I think the agnostic scientist put it best: Faith and religion do not contradict science. I don't think I understand some peoples absolute hate for any kind of religious belief system.
