The future is still spaceflight, we just use robots instead of humans now.

In the future it will probably be illegal to 3D print a gun with a working firing pin or lower receiver. Those are the only parts of a gun you need a licence to buy with current US law.

I don't have to many blogs that I follow because The signal to noise ratio is too high for just about all of them. But disregardeverythingisay is a cool tumblr with one post a week and I find it's almost always interesting. http://disregardeverythingisay.tumblr.com/

another good one is http://www.silverhydra.com/ If you go to the gym you should take a look. he goes in depth and analyses supplements down to the molecular level no bro science.

Edit: whats up with the text being centered?

Yep, those are the important and hard to make bits of a gun.

Your friends are kinda lame if they can't play words with friends without cheating.

Just did a image search for it and I only found it on that original site. I think It might be real not sure honestly.

5–50 million years, Time by which the entire galaxy could be colonised, even at sublight speeds.

Wish I could be around to witness this first hand.

Hopefully we'll see the same thing happen with marijuana.

"This would be a great exercise for students."

Definitively, I remember doing those dumb spinner "experiments" in grade school. This would teach kids probability and how to setup a real experiment, not one of those follow the recipe grade school experiments.

That photo of the dust cloud on the side of the hill is really impressive, makes Mars seem livable almost.

Probably because stress induced ailments are much more common now. Modern medicine has figured out how to solve most physical aliments, now all that's left is psychological problems, which are more affected by placebos.

Do the malls really have to go this far to get this info? Couldn't they just use security camera footage to find the same info out.

Downplaying the competitive aspect of seeing your karma score while trying to build a community. This is exactly what I want to hear. Looks like it might be able to replace reddit for me in a little bit.

"That sounds like a desperate justification of one's worldview. You are no better if you trip. You are no less."

That's exactly what he is doing although I can't blame him. Very few people are into the psychedelic/tripping culture so by joining you automatically feel detached from other people, almost as though they where in a special group.

Same is true for me, I enjoy psychedelic's but none of my friends do : (

I like the extra info on usernames. It reminds me of the RES addon for Reddit, but all that is build into the site already.
Tautology  ·  4751 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: Are smart kids more likely to use drugs?  - The Week
"Smart kids are more likely to "experiment" with drugs... dumb kids use them."

This is true to some extent, although many intelligent kids experiment with drugs that are hard to maintain as experiments, and eventually develop into addictions. This could be prevented by factual drug education so the smart and dum kids can decide based on evidence the repercussions for using drugs.
