Charlie Chaplin's Speech from The Great Dictator.
I play paintball and fly both model and "real" airplanes. I work at a paintball field so I am around it and play almost every weekend. I have been to many scenarios including the worlds largest a few times. I am more into woodsball and milsim because I like working as a team and using military strategies and tactics. Also there can be several thousand other people to shoot at. Model airplanes have been something I was always interested in. I find it to be a great hobby. There is nothing like spending hours building a model and watch it fly even better than you had imagined. As for "real" airplanes I am a third generation pilot. I grew up on an airport where my father was the manager. I have since moved away but still continue to fly, in fact I am on my university's flight team. I used to be big into video games but not so much anymore. I still play every so often but usually only when I can't go enjoy one of my other interests. About the only thing I play now is Flight Simulator X to mess around and practice instrument approaches. EDIT: forgot to mention camping and backpacking. Love that shit. This past summer I backpacked ~100 miles in 12 days. It is nice to get away from everything and all the people every once and awhile.
I can send people here without being worried that they'll be offended by really stupid, immature nonsense or comments.
I find this really funny because I remember seeing a post on this exact subject this morning on reddit.
I don't think personal mp3 players will ever die out. They may lose popularity among adults but I think they will continue to live because of the number of younger people whose parents will not allow them to have a phone. Also because of those who don't want or can't afford a smartphone. Personally I choose to use my iPod over my smartphone for several reasons, mainly to save battery on my phone.
Which system will you write it for? I am currently browsing on my Android phone and while it is definitely usable an app would be great to make mobile browsing more enjoyable. I wish you luck and hope you release something.
When a typing in a text box you will see "markup" on the top right; click it. Otherwise here it is: Hubski markup
Text surrounded by asterisks (*) is italicized, if the character after the first asterisk isn't whitespace.
Text surrounded by plus signs (+) is bolded, if the character after the first plus sign isn't whitespace.
Text surrounded by vertical bars (|) is quoted, if the character after the first bar isn't whitespace.
A user's name surrounded by at signs (@) links to their hub, and the user is notified that you mentioned them.
A word surrounded by hash signs (#) becomes a tag and links to posts with that tag.
Blank lines separate paragraphs.
Text after a blank line that is indented by two or more spaces is reproduced verbatim in a different font.
URLs become links.
Text can link to URLs by using the following format: linked text
Image URLs (.png, .tif, and .jpg) will embed automatically.
Does the hubwheel complete on comments and submitted posts? Or only submitted? Also from what I have seen browsing around you are the owner. Is that correct?
Aviation Management at Oklahoma State
Ok I got confused after I posted it and thought I had replied to the wrong post or something. I think I deleted it but I tried to undelete but I am not sure if it worked or not because I can see it but it still says deleted. Maybe someone can explain. Edit: Nevermind I think I got it now.
If you delete a post it stays there but it says undelete[deleted] instead of listing the other options.
Last time I went somewhere was back to my college town after I realized I forgot some Christmas presents. A two hour flight sure beats a five hour drive. Lately I have flying locally doing training in multi-engine aircraft. I really want to go to Africa because it its one of two continents I haven't been to.
I play most weekends unless we are busy. I also go to a lot of scenario games with a hundred to several thousand people. You need to try it at least once. Get a group of friends together and go to your local field. Or do a birthday/bachelor/office party. Check here to find your nearest field: http://www.pbnation.com/fields/
I work at a paintball field. I am going to school for aviation management but I want to be a pilot. I already have my pilot's license and I can fly complex, high performance, taildraggers, and multi-engine aircraft. Since I don't have my commercial license I can't fly for hire. The only reason I am studying aviation management is in case I am deemed medically unfit to fly I can continue to work in the industry.
Yes it was about someone referring their friend to reddit and them finding some of the weird/gross/strange/offensive things that appear on reddit.
It was submitted to best of.
Its great! I am from a small town so living in a biger town and being alot closer to OKC is great. I am on the flying team and an officer for the flying club. Its a great school in a fun town and there is always something to do.
Another problem with streaming apps is they require a connection. I fly alot, not airlines so much but mostly by myself in small general aviation aircraft. Now sometimes I can get a connection down low but most of the time I want to be higher so I can ride more favorable winds. I know airlines are starting to have on-board wifi but I have never seen it to be free. I love my iPod and it is great for flying because I don't have to worry about a connection or listen to ads.
