I've been waiting for these for so long. Thank you New Horizons for completing your primary mission.
I do not have any pets but my girlfriend has 2. And I can tell everyone right now that when we move out on our own, pets will definitely be in the picture. Any advice for someone who has never had pets but will likely be having a dog and a cat in the next 4 years or so?
Cool! What was it on?
Does anyone play the Vita? Sadly, I don't know anyone off the top of my head who owns one - let alone plays it.
I feel very powerful in a shirt and tie. I have very little occasion to wear one, but I find that if I'm having a tough day (as a college student), I'll throw on a shirt and tie and wear it to class/meetings/meals just to pump up my motivation and self confidence.
What I used to do before things like reddit would be to research a hot topic on my own. Hear about it, then head to WIkipedia or google the topic. Find other sources writing about it or things that are related to it. If it keeps you interested, you'll be down the rabbit's hole before you know it and a whole lot more informed than what the front page of Reddit has to tell you.
What's your podcast? The Podcast I support, The Geek Generation, just released our 239th episode. Link to post about episode 239 -
I would definitely recommend Owlturd comix. The artist, Shen, draws inspiration from some of the other popular comics in this thread and also has his own creativity and flair as well. I found them to be so enjoyable that I even interviewed him at one point for a website that I write for
Some places have guitars for rental if you just want to learn and see if you like it before really investing in purchasing one!
I would say so! The hate on electronic music makes no sense since it still requires a working knowledge of music for it to be good. Plus you can make some really funky sounds with it. I think I'll take a look at the link you share cause that sounds pretty awesome!
A half an hour or so on an electric piano a few days a week is plenty of time to get the basics down :)
I love a good saxophone solo in jazz tunes.
Wow, I really feel refreshed and rejuvenated and motivated after reading this. Thank you for sharing it.
Awesome!! Care to share it?
That sounds really cool but I'm not quite sure what that all means, hahaha!
So much focus on situational-comedies and police/medical dramas in TV both nowadays and in the last 10+ years. Same show, different title. Hopefully one or two will be a needle in the haystack.
Nice to meet you! I'm also new here as of today. I'm a studying microbiology major and an amateur geeky journalist with a passion for video gaming, tech, and music.
Don't Starve is a pretty fun game that doesn't require a ton of computer power.

Immunology is calling my name. I just started my classes for my senior year in Microbiology and the lecture and lab that I'm taking in immunology is really tickling my fancy. Perhaps this is my calling? We'll see in a few weeks. Sleep however, is also calling my name, but I'm afraid this is likely going to be a 20 hour day. I hope I'll be able to squeeze a nap in here somewhere. Wish me luck!
Residential Assistant training is wrapping up and I'm still behind on hall decorations. Oh well. Senior year of college (and either my last semester or 2nd to last semester) is about to begin. I have no idea how it got here so quickly. I'm not ready yet.... I'm still struggling to find ways to make my friend's website more profitable but we're just not hitting our goals. Oh, and I watched the first episode of Scrubs. I'm gunna need a lot more popcorn.
Yep, that is my bad. You are correct. I've edited it to fix it now. Good catch!
Woo! I won! yeah.... Hahaha very amusing
I want to learn how to play my instruments to where I can play them as well as I can whistle. I want to learn how to make apps. I want to learn how to get a larger audience for the site that I write for. I want to learn how to invest in different things that I believe in.

Wolfram Alpha I'd say these are 4 non-social media apps that I'm very glad that I have and make things enjoyable and fun. I have an android device.
I'd say about 3-4 days a week. It's been growing on me for sure and whenever I realize it's been a while, I head right on over here.
This is awesome! The potential for this is huge. And here I thought displays wouldn't get better than 4K definition. This would be a whole new ballpark of quality.
Woah! Epic!
Cool! I hope to one day be able to dabble in an assortment of instruments!
