NBC has announced its primetime schedule for the 2015 – 2016 season which includes six new comedies (Coach, Crowded, Hot & Bothered, People Are Talking, Superstore, You Me and the End of the World), and seven new dramas (Blindspot, Chicago Med, Game of Silence, Heartbreaker, Heroes Reborn, The Player, Shades of Blue).
And ten of the thirteen will run for 10+ seasons and the one with the most potential will get a half-season run..because that's how TV works these days. (I'm not bitter about all of my favourite shows being cancelled at all...) /grumblegrumble
Some of these look laughably bad or like recreations of shows that have already failed. Why can't tv just be good?
So much focus on situational-comedies and police/medical dramas in TV both nowadays and in the last 10+ years. Same show, different title. Hopefully one or two will be a needle in the haystack.
Hopefully. Crowded at least has Patrick Warbuton and Carrie Preston, who are both wonderful in other shows, as the leads. And I'll be so glad if Heroes Reborn is any good. The original series probably would have been if not for the writers' strike.
