Immunology is calling my name. I just started my classes for my senior year in Microbiology and the lecture and lab that I'm taking in immunology is really tickling my fancy. Perhaps this is my calling? We'll see in a few weeks. Sleep however, is also calling my name, but I'm afraid this is likely going to be a 20 hour day. I hope I'll be able to squeeze a nap in here somewhere. Wish me luck!
Residential Assistant training is wrapping up and I'm still behind on hall decorations. Oh well. Senior year of college (and either my last semester or 2nd to last semester) is about to begin. I have no idea how it got here so quickly. I'm not ready yet.... I'm still struggling to find ways to make my friend's website more profitable but we're just not hitting our goals. Oh, and I watched the first episode of Scrubs. I'm gunna need a lot more popcorn.
Yep, that is my bad. You are correct. I've edited it to fix it now. Good catch!
Woo! I won! yeah.... Hahaha very amusing
I want to learn how to play my instruments to where I can play them as well as I can whistle. I want to learn how to make apps. I want to learn how to get a larger audience for the site that I write for. I want to learn how to invest in different things that I believe in.

Wolfram Alpha I'd say these are 4 non-social media apps that I'm very glad that I have and make things enjoyable and fun. I have an android device.
I'd say about 3-4 days a week. It's been growing on me for sure and whenever I realize it's been a while, I head right on over here.
This is awesome! The potential for this is huge. And here I thought displays wouldn't get better than 4K definition. This would be a whole new ballpark of quality.
Woah! Epic!
Cool! I hope to one day be able to dabble in an assortment of instruments!
I think about this all the time. I would love to be able to pitch bend and make crazy sounds on a real piano. Guess the only options would be to get an electric piano or invest in crazy custom pedal modifications. But on the other hand, the piano has so much more range and allows for playing of both rhythm and melody simultaneously. Also, good pick on the cello. I also enjoy how it sounds.
Those both sound like very beautiful instruments to learn. And while I'm sure the music will sound very relaxing, the journey to learning will probably be quite frustrating as they both need a lot of discipline, hahaha. Good luck with that!
Hahaha, I am also a frequent beatboxer and love keeping a beat slapping my arms, chest and legs. It's never too late to learn!
Thanks!
I'm not familiar with Andrew Bird. Care to recommend me a song or two?
Woah! That's an awesome turn of events. I've yet to meet someone who plays the accordion but I have an appreciation for the instrument. Does yours have keys or is it played by covering holes?
I've also dabbled a bit in guitar but I've yet to really spend time learning. I've tried out Justinguitar and I also recommend it. Perhaps one day we'll both get around to finding a real mentor.
Facepalm Thanks for that!
That's an awesome way for some family bonding and a great way to motivate each other. Very cool!
Yeah science!! This is a great share. I've known that this existed in some fashion but never knew what to call it. It makes me think of baseball and how a normal fastball pitch is so different from a knuckle ball. And to think it has non-sport applications is just amazing.
I already posted about this on here but I did an interview with a semi-famous web comic artist and it was illustrated by said artist and has now gone live on Youtube. It's took a lot of work but I'm happy with how it came out.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will consider this and take a look at his works. Perhaps in the future when our brand grows a bit more and I can get my hands on better equipment, I will definitely consider interviewing more web-comic artists.
Hahaha yes, I'm aware of that. "Very Cool" was a statement I edited out many many times. It was a little more than I had expected doing an interview that lasted 20 minutes rather than say, 5 minutes but not to shabby for a first timer, eh? I did the audio editing but Shen did the artwork and animations to synchronize with said audio. Well if there is enough demand for it, which could be a possibility, perhaps I will broaden my scope and interview all kinds of geeky-people including more web comic artists. I can't promise anything yet due to the sites' limited resources, but with more support and a growing audience, I'd love to do more interviews. Thanks for your feedback! :D
Thanks TNG! It was both fun and hard work and I'm so happy to have it completed. Seriously, I think everyone thinks that the bones were in the turds, hahaha.
"I cannot live without her!" should never be the true feeling. A great relationship should be between people who want to be together, not who feel like they "need" to be together. I've been in a relationship for over 4 years with the majority of it being long distance. There was no reason for us to be 'together' other than our desire to stay in a relationship and let our love for each other continue to grow. You say that you have issues to resolve that you feel are important to fix before getting more serious. What kind of issues are they? Financial? Conflicting future plans? Or are they problems with each other? My girlfriend and I have talked about getting married and we have agreed together that marriage is something that shouldn't happen between us for another 3 years or so because of our current circumstances. Perhaps the two of you need to look at your circumstances and see what it is that makes her want to tie the knot and you to be hesitant. If you care to elaborate on the issues between you to, maybe we can help more.
If you're into learning things I'd recommend the Stuff You Should Know Podcast. I'd also like to plug my affiliated podcast, The Geek Generation Podcast. In case you can't tell, I enjoy podcasts - whether its a long flight, car ride or just while out on a walk.
One thing I would like to see is the normalization of sex in our culture. It certainly won't be instantaneous but if it becomes available in much the same way that female BC is, hopefully things won't be so damn taboo.
