It also has a lot to do with posting image thumbnails on the front page, I think this led to the meme-ification of the front page and subsequent downward spiral of quality.
I'm in Auburn Hills.
You guys are near Detroit?
I use Firefox with a few add-ons for better privacy protection. Set everything to be deleted on browser exit, I never have needed history from yesterday and use these add-ons. Adblock Fully Disable all ads. Better Privacy. Deletes LSO Cookies that persist (*flash cookies) and are not deleted when you clear your history and cookies. Script Blocker. Disables all scripts, flash, ect. You can allow scripts by domain. Script Blocker is an acquired taste, you have to enable scripts one by one and for the first week or so it's annoying as you build a whitelist for your most visited sites. The benefit is that it disables all 3rd party javascript libraries from tracking you, Facebook and social buttons, Google Adsense, ect.
Campaign slogans and phrases like Reagan's "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago" are pretty common. Romnesia is a very clever way to get people to start talking about the contradictory views Romney has taken on _everything_. It's smarter too because it can be applied to multiple issues and if Romney missteps they have that saying waiting for him. It's less 'name calling' than saying 'flip flopping', which was the '04 republican mantra.
By all respects the republicans should be winning, Romney was such an unfortunate choice. And that Ryan guy is like Sarah Palin's brother, I mean, holy shit. If they could pull one guy that didn't look like some 1980's business douche they could sell it. Obama lucked out.
I submit a different approach. Instead of targeting large sites with plenty of users, why not mention Hubski in smaller more intelligent, forums and sites. Places where you know the people are quality. Quality over quantity. That, I think will keep the site what it is for longer.
