Thanks for the info! Just ordered mine.
I've listened to the radiolab that talks about Homer and how blue didn't pop up until later: great podcast. Also the NPR interview is really converging with some insights I was having tonight that related to color, fashion, insecurity, and my identity. My mind is being blown tonight and I love it.
Sorry to hear about the negative, but happy to hear about the upside. You're right, there really is no substitute for experiencing an emotion firsthand. I agree that capturing those kinds of experiences is why good writers, musicians, filmmakers, and other artists receive so much adoration. You've also helped strengthen my belief that a mark of a true artist, or at least one people adore and love, is a strong sense of empathy.
I've been meaning to get back into running, but honestly I'm underprepared for the cold weather. I also need new sneakers. The sneakers I believe I can take care of, but what's your recommendation for gear (long sleeves, gloves, leggings, hats, etc.) to keep me toasty in the winter without needing to molest my wallet to do it?
I want an attractive stranger to see me walking around the streets of New York, halt my train of thought by grabbing my arm, look into my eyes and say with a completely sincere smile, "I know exactly what you mean" and then I want to feel whatever feelings I should feel that would mean they're being honest and I believe them. I don't want to be read like an open book, but I want to find the person that can recognize everything I have inside and fully appreciate what it is I always struggle and kill myself to express.
Me too. I am slowly trying to learn though, but I wish I had this app like, yesterday.
