The political scene has been a reality show for quite a while now; ever since people became career politicians instead of taking a few years out of their lives and careers to speak for their portion of a nation.

As someone who enjoys guns for being amazing machines, I'm very torn over this issue. A lot of people love guns for perfectly healthy and non-harmful reasons, but a few bad apples can ruin a bunch, etc, etc. I think there needs to be more focus on how to prevent potential wrongdoers from getting guns rather than banning them outright. I realize the NFA just banned and bought-back semi-automatic and automatic weapons, but these are a pinnacle of a technology, and, IMO, shouldn't be outright banned. A more-thorough process of determining rights to gun ownership definitely needs to be addressed, though. Right now, I don't think anyone has come up with a surefire way to only keep responsible people able to own guns, but that doesn't mean there isn't a way. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but if we keep focusing on "removing all guns" method of enforcement, then a better method will never be found.

I do understand that people should be able to live wherever you want, but if it is a neighborhood of racists...do you really want to live there?

I've never found the "Unplugged" lifestyle to be enticing. Maybe because I have always loved tech. I still make a point to make time for things that are important to me other than tech. Waking up with the news and a cup of coffee is quite nice, though. Bored at work? Internet. Get home? Go for a run and then play some video games with some friends.

I recently picked up p4g after being a holdout due to the whole "life-sim" potion of it. It does it really well, though. I'm glad I picked it up.

That is what made me fall away from TF2. So many changes, weapons, and hats, and everything else. It's just so intimidating to jump back into it all.

Meh, it might be pretty cool if they include it into the clothing industry rather than include clothing in the tech industry, if you know what I mean. Like the article says, imagine being able to control devices with something as non intrusive as the pants you're already wearing.

Some things are "guy" things (Sports), and some things are "girl" things (Fashion). Some girls like sports, some guys like fashion. It is just generally how things go. Differences between genders don't always have to be sinister and "stacked against the other". I think that this match was like "most-watched" due to soccer actually gaining popularity in the states and Americans love winning a competition.

Could you use that data in a logarithmic scale? I believe It would give a better understanding of what all that stuff is on the bottom, because right now it barely registers as noise.

I also think an explanation of the more "constant" second jump can be attributed to the people that visited the first time actually giving the site a second shot and getting to understand the inner workings of hubski.

I'm one of those people. The first time was more of a visit and forget because I couldn't find the topics I wanted to, but now, with a second attempt to use the site, I made an account and really delved into what the site is, and I am really enjoying it.

The fact is that The entire country lent him this money on the promise that he would offer something to society when he got out. He's not offering anything to society. If he was useful as a Psychology professional (which he obtained 3 degrees from an Ivy League college to prove), he would make enough money to be able to get by while paying back his student loans. His situation is the culmination of many bad decisions (going to an Ivy League school instead of a state college, Picking Psychology as a major without thinking about "what comes after?", etc. If he would have busted his ass through college and jumped through the hoops that led to a well paying job after he got out, everything would be fine.

If you don't have the drive or natural talent to do something VERY WELL, then don't go in debt getting a degree in the field. It is as simple as that. Other people paid for this person to go through college. And he thinks he has the right to just "not pay them back". That is a ridiculous amount of entitlement right there. If you do not think getting a professional degree in a certain field will help you pay back your loans, you should probably not take out a loan. I do not want to turn this into a discussion of "To STEM or not to STEM", but people these days seem to think that getting a degree is required, and since it's required, "I might as well get it in something I like!" You do not need a degree to be an artist - musically, graphically, or otherwise. That is a genuine passion for a field that you can teach yourself. Going into debt to learn to draw, write (creatively, not grammatically), or play an instrument is absolutely asinine. These are hobbies, not professions. You get a degree for a profession.

I've been wanting to start a Journal for a while now. In all honesty, I just want an excuse to use a badass Fountain Pen and practice my handwriting. After reading about the bullet journal in this thread, I think I'll go ahead and take the plunge. My life suffers from some pretty mild disorganization, anyway. Any tips on what to keep in it besides daily tasks and maybe a handwriting practice to watch it get better over time (Hopefully). I'm not a big fan of the whole "relive daily encounters" stuff, but any suggestions would be great.

If you have a ps4, the vita is definitely worth the buy if you have decent upload speeds at home and decent download speeds common when you're out of the house. With a decent connection, you can play full ps4 games with the vita on the go. Basically 0 input lag, too.
