Dan Osman speed free soloing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPSaYkVRoNk Dean Potter slack lining Lost Arrow Spire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaqlM7W1HNI (I include this because it's amazing and gives you insight into the risks people like this are willing to take to do something amazing for themselves) Also check out high ball bouldering, which is code for free soloing on rock that is less than 50 feet (in my opinion). These kinds of climbs are generally low enough to the ground that you'd only be injured if you really fell, but the risk of death is certainly there. When you're climbing these kinds of things though, you have a good sense of your limits. He must not have kids.
That said, the margin for error is razor thin. At one point in the video, he does a dynamic move, meaning he is all-points-off-the-wall jumping to the next hold. Had a loose couple of grains of rock been present, and his driving foot slipped, he'd be looking at a long way down. Ultimately, what killed him was what amounts to a giant free-fall swing. String a really long line between two giant towers of rock. Tie a rope to the middle of that line, long enough for a really long free-fall, but not long enough to hit the ground. Tie the other end to you. Jump. He had miscalculated where it was safe to jump from, and ended up on the ground in Yosemite.
