For more on free soloing, check out names like Peter Croft (one of the originators of free soloing), Derek Hersey (RIP, who died climbing the Sentinel, the same route as featured in this video), John Bachar (RIP, the father of modern free soloing), Dan Osman (RIP, but not from free soloing), Dean Potter, Steph Davis, and Alain Robert (best known for his free soloing of large buildings around the world).

Dean Potter slack lining Lost Arrow Spire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaqlM7W1HNI (I include this because it's amazing and gives you insight into the risks people like this are willing to take to do something amazing for themselves)

Also check out high ball bouldering, which is code for free soloing on rock that is less than 50 feet (in my opinion). These kinds of climbs are generally low enough to the ground that you'd only be injured if you really fell, but the risk of death is certainly there. When you're climbing these kinds of things though, you have a good sense of your limits.
