No, no it wasn't. Way out of line. The caught the guy after they had ended the lockdown of Boston.
By your logic you can't call segregationists racist because not all of them are demonstrably so. What a crock of shit.

If dick pumps are covered then so should contraceptives.
Seems similar to the tactic Congress is using to destroy the Post Office.
This is why activists have to push just as hard (if not more so) against private data collection and exploitation.
Great, just what we need. Further wall street speculation in commodities necessary to life.
Yeah, speculation was the wrong word to use.
I made the changes, I originally made the assumption that people would know what stingrays are.
So the article fairly quickly points out that the group that was given studies to read about it actually DID end up changing their minds, all but the most stalwart. So the MoJo headline is misleading, in my opinion.
I'm not sure that this would have come to light if it weren't for Snowden.
Disappointing how?
From what I've read Comcast has well placed former employees in the antitrust divisions that would scrutinize this merger. And of course they are planning a lobbying blitz in order to push it through. There is no way in hell this should be allowed.
Yeah, but it's not like that revelation is overly new. Just brought into the light recently.
This has been Assange's legal stance for quite a while I believe.
Do you have any articles your recommend about that?
I was under the impression that they can't use evidence against someone that they obtained outside a warranted investigation into a known crime. Is this true?
I hope people's debts burned up.
What damage?

It's the democracy that's benefiting the population, not capitalism.
Democracy Now also had good coverage.
Right to work is a misnomer. It actually allows workers to freeload of the negotiations of labor unions without paying dues to the union. It's already a guaranteed right to not have to join a union as a condition of employment unless the company itself forces you to in your contract.
"The catch was that you had to make a commitment to live in the property for three years; this deterred speculators." As it should be.
I think the concept Matt is laying out is particularly hard to explain to people. Even though I see the morality of his argument I'd have a hard time getting the point across to others.
Seems modern Whigs (I don't know much about the original party) is pretty much american libertarianism re-branded.
A large portion of rapists are serial rapists.
Fair enough, "just like" might have been unintentional hyperbole. How would you describe the USSR economy, then? It certainly wasn't socialism.
