I have this thought that Trump is just there to make the rest of the Republicans look a whole lot better, and boy is he doing a good job at that. I can put this article in two words "Who cares?". Columba isn't running for president. No one is voting for her to be in office. She isn't the person that should be in news articles. Really the only thing I can see what him marrying Columba would be tied to is his view on immigration. Even then I think it is a bit pushing it. Also their marriage status shouldn't be covered as "journalism". I mean there are so many politicians that are Catholic that have been married several times, and may I add that getting a divorce (without probable cause) is frowned upon Catholic society. This is Jeb's first marriage and they've been going strong for about twenty years. It just frustrates me when the media talks about a candidates family "issues" instead of their platform and work. If they wanted to make an article about Columba they should have solely made it on her accomplishments. For example, her work with
Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse
This would make a good article on her work accolades.
I see all these comments about the US being the world police and what not. But here is my question, what will happen to those 57,000 people that will be out of a job?
Is this app restricted to people that are close by? What if I want to share a library with someone from a different state, would I be able to do that via wi-fi?
This was a very entertaining read. Now I can apply physics to my fire ball.
This tour was amazing. I've never went to any of their concerts but I've seen lots of videos. Also when they smash up their songs it is just so great.
This reminded me of the Ted Cruz fiasco where he wasn't insured by The Affordable Care Act and then once his wife went on unpaid leave he decided to sign up for it. Someone who was so opposed to Obama care decided to finally sign up when it was convenient for him.
I guess you do have a point there. If this country is going to have universal healthcare then I think there should be some regulations that the government would try to put in to make sure you live a healthier lifestyle. For example, if it were up to me I would make getting cigarettes a lot harder to get. People can smoke pot instead it won't harm their body as much. Hell, hemp can really help this economy! It isn't only used as a means to get high. You can make paper a lot faster and more efficiently because it grows a lot faster than trees and takes up less space. Clothing can also be made too. These are the only two examples from this article on Forbes I read a while ago
I guess if I were to tell someone the type of things I would vote for they would pigeon whole me as a democrat. I don't like signing on bored to a specific party because it just makes me feel as if I'm stuck with that group, and we all know groups can sometimes change what they stand for. I do think that big corporations and the top economic class should get taxed more than they are now. I also think that the government shouldn't have a say in how I live my life. If I want to eat 600 cheeseburgers from McDonald's then let me. If I want to marry someone of the same sex then who are you to stop me, and I better get the same benefits that "normal" married couples receive. My voting decisions are most often than not based on social issues instead of economic ones because I don't know much about economics and what would be beneficial for the country. I'm trying to learn as much as I can but at the moment I would not know what would bring the better outcome.
It is very shameful because race is just a social construct. When you get down to it white skin is just an adaptation for better living in the north and south environments as a more efficient way to protect yourself from the sun and collect vitamins form the sun's rays. But saying that race the main issue feels like it is diminishing the troubles that African Americans face.
Even black brits deal with racism on a regular basis. Gary even states that if my aim was to escape aggressive policing and racial disadvantage, I would not be heading to Hackney.
This shows that in a lot of white majority societies that had slavery are still under the influence of racism.
Personally I do not think sexual orientation is a lifestyle but more of something that you're born with. For example I'm going to use a tumblr post I have seen recently. So Orange is the New Black had its new season recently released and Ruby Rose is now a part of the cast. The post would say something along the lines of "If you're a straight girl and you just watched the new OITNB, I've got some news for you. Ruby Rose just turned you into a lesbian."
This just makes it seem as if being gay is a choice that you can change into for personal convenience. It really diminishes the actual issues that the lgbtqia+ community faces when it comes to people telling them that they are choosing to be a special snowflake. If they wanted their lives to be easier they would not choose to identify as something that will get them ridiculed, fired from their job, not marry (until recently), be denied service at a business establishment, and in some cases beat up and killed. So when people say that being queer is a life choice it really turns me the wrong way.
My parents tell me that when I was younger I would love to have my picture taken. Now I do not like to have my picture taken. I will try and avoid it as much as possible because I always think that I look weird. Many people think that only girls are physically conscientious, but that is just not true. A lot of guys are worried about their looks and some are even ashamed of just going out in public.
A bit off topic...
I was talking to my friend about potential candidates. He is voting for Marco Rubio (we are in Miami) and I am for the Bern. He made up a point that Sanders would be the oldest president to date. Sanders is already older than Reagan when he finished his presidency. I don't think that someone's old age is a good reason not to vote for them. Sure yeah they maybe old but you don't know when they will kick the bucket. Reagan was 96 when he died, so why can't Sander's lead a healthy life while in office. But I do think that if Sanders does not win this next election he won't make an attempt in 2020.
Well currently since I'm taking morning class at college it is this. 3-4 am: go to sleep 7 am: wake up once 8:30 am: wake up twice 9:15 am: wake up for the third and final time 9:15-9:45: stay in bed and check Clash of Clans and play some Minesweeper 9:45-10: get dressed, brush teeth, feed dog. 10:05 am: leave house
I really think you're onto something here. Seeing what Feminism stands for and what Punk stands for I see some similarities. Punk being the DIY mentality and form what I understand feminism is not just for the equality but getting women to be their own hero and if they want something done then they can do it, and not letting others get in your way with a big fuck you to those that try and put you down. When Joan Jett was getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year she talked about the sexism she went through. She encountered people telling her to lose the guitar because women shouldn't play it. Another thing she talked about was when they sent record labels their songs and got a handful of rejection letters. She and the band didn't quit! They ended up making the records themselves and selling them from their car after the shows. She went on to say this I think Joan is a great roll for females to follow with her take charge mentality. So yes, I do think feminism needs punk, and punk needs feminism.Whether you're female or male, that has nothing to do with whether or not you can play music. I mean, girls play cello and violin in symphony orchestras. Why can't a girl play guitar?
Father went to New Orleans, Louisiana to visit my Mother. With him away I infiltrated his room so I can connect my xbox to the internet router via ethernet cable. With this I have had zero connection issues and it feels great and a lot less stressful when I play. I think this weekend went well and was one of the more laid back weekends in a while, and with it ending I am going back to my summer physics course in the morning. woop dee doo.
They recently had a 24 hour chess tournament. Unfortunately their servers couldn't handle it and it was cancelled a little after it began. Hopefully when they get better servers they will attempt it again. From what I did play I can say it was fun.
For me the story behind Gears of War is fantastic. I haven't been able to read the books yet but I know a good deal of the history of the series E-Day (When the Locust emerged from their underground tunnels). I started GoW with the second installment and fell in love with the story. There was just so much emotion going on with the characters that I couldn't put it down. Now with a new installment on the horizon there is going to be even more story to follow, with different characters to enjoy. I don't think explaining the lore behind the series because I may spoil it for people who have not played it, even though the last of the main trilogy was released four years ago.

Do you think that one big reason why Voat will be getting a lot more users from Reddit is because of its similarities to Reddit? The first time I went on the site it looked exactly like Reddit but with a different skin. It also seemed as if it uses the same point system of Reddit. It just seems as if Redditors will have a much easier time transitioning to a site like Voat instead of someplace slightly different like Hubski.
American Idiot - Green Day That album really got me during a rough track of my life. I probably owe more to that album than I do to other people. But not only did American Idiot help change my life, other G.D albums did too. If I were to describe my state of life at this moment it would be a mix between the mentality of Dookie and Nimrod
unfortunately I have a macbook so it probably isn't the best thing out there for gaming.
I'm one of those people. I bought the WiiU because of Smash. Also got Capt. Toad (very adorable puzzle game) and Windwaker because I liked that game back when it originally came out. I have mixed feelings about the WiiU. The software I believe could have done better but when it comes to game use I feel it was a step above the original Wiimote. Nintendo does great with its IP's but I am pretty disappointed with the lack of third party support they give.
Games like this are what get me thinking of buying a PS4. I'm looking forward to the release of this game but I am skeptical because the game just seems so large that it may have problems due to its size.
maybe they would implement if as a free download update a little time after release if it doesn't come with the base game. Kind of like how that happened with Sniper Elite V2 on the 360.
Indeed it was. But wether or not it was fake doesn't have much affect on nintendo supposedly being the King of the gaming industry or being "innovative" every time.
I think the reason why major news outlets are giving him the minimum amount of coverage is because they are the people that won't benefit from him. It is just a thought I may be onto something but at the same time I may be off by a long shot. Referring to the fact that the younger populous are not voting is something that we really need to change. The older crowd mainly the Republicans think it is great that young voter participation is at an all-time low. Then you have people claiming that they won't vote to "send a message", when in fact they are just helping those that they are opposed to. We need to inform people that in order to induce change in this country you need to participate whether or not you are a fan of the current regime.
I have to agree with you on this. I catch myself reading a comment and getting distracted by other comments because the comment I was reading was going on for too long. I caught myself doing this with your comment actually. After I passed the sixth line I just went to the next comment. Ended up returning to your statement and laughing at how I fit in as the person you're describing.
I think there is more reasons why Reddit is commonly credited with being the origin of memes over /b/. If you were to ask the common internet surfer (maybe even a 4chan user) what they think about 4chan, some will say that they've heard of it but never ventured there due to the negative connotations that come along with the site. 4chan is most infamous for being the starting point of anonymous and there are many people who are scared of that. With putting aside the self gratification that the point system on Reddit has on its user base 4chan was already at a disadvantage due to its social standing.
