cool, thanks!
Can someone give the general gist of the keynote? I'm at work and cant watch it.
Cool, no worries. Thanks for being so approachful, part of what makes Hubski so good :)
On my feed page, with the list of links etc, it doesnt show the time posted. TBH I only just noticed the time showing when you open the link comments, but there is no "Posted: 16 hours ago" when looking at the feed. At least for me. I can screenshot if need be.
Man, I'm good at spelling... Edit: And now I found out you can edit posts (and titles!) w00t!
I'd personally hate to see that stuff come to Hubski. Reddit and 9gag are already packed with them, why not just go there?
Yeah, I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm in two minds about Google taking over the world. I like it because they do things the way I would do it, and they do what they do well. The problem is, they have access to all our stuff - emails, blog entries, social media/networking, search history and trends... I mean, it helps them develop things we need and want, but its scary how much info they have on us.
For sure. Will be interesting to see if anyone else comes along in the next 5 years or so aswell, taking the reigns.
Then with the Wizards, came back in his late 30's/early 40's and still dominated. The man is a living legend, and one that will be near impossible to top.
Blasphemy, I dont think so, Jordan accepts all challengers. but let me point out a few things: Jordan
Career:
30.1ppg @ 49.7 FG%
6.2rpg
5.3apg
2.3stl
0.8bpg
2.7to
and only 1.7 Three Point Attempts Per Game. Best Season: Age 23, 3rd season in.
37.1ppg @48.2%, 5.2rpg, 4.6apg, 2.9stl, 1.5bpg with only 66 TOTAL 3pa Kobe
Career:
25.4ppg @ 45.3 FG%
5.3rpg
4.7apg
1.5stl
0.5bpg
3.0to
and 3.9 3pa per game Best Season: Age 27, 10th season in
35.4ppg @45%, 5.3 rpg, 4.5apg, 1.8stl, 0.4bpg, with 518 TOTAL 3pa My point - Jordan was more efficient, and better in almost all aspects of the game (including defence). That is all.
Take note, Bryant has 1 less title than Jordan. Not a huge factor, but still a point to note. What really gets me here is the last sentence. Jordan IS the gold standard, Kobe has "the attitude" to be competitive. Jordan played in an era with some of the best player to ever play the game. Kobe's early career was amongst some decent players, but not the calibre of what Jordan faced. There is so much I can and want to put into this, but I'll keep it short and hit you with some figures. "During his career, Jordan won six NBA titles. Bryant currently has five. Jordan's championship performances are the gold standard in basketball, but Bryant holds the same competitive attitude and has the hardware to prove it. "
