Nicely written!
Luna - Sad Dance -
I've been gone a while...
I am really enjoying Tengri - Icaros, it is excellent #psychill
Reminds me of the excellent "Women Fighters in Reasonable Armor" tumblr :)
I like the first image better, the text looks very crowded in the second. If you want it more compact, I'd move it to the top left corner of the image instead. Also, the ape looks a bit uncomfortable to be honest, if I tried to hold his position, I'd fall over on my back, so I'm not sure how he doesn't ;)
I like it as an illustration, but I think it's too detailed to work well at small sizes which is what I normally expect from a logo.
Have you read Anaïs Nin?
It's been on my wishlist since I heard that Ghibli was doing the animation, and this review just makes me even more excited...
Looks pretty good... made http://plug.dj/hubski/, let's try it
I think it will happen eventually. Publishers run on very thin margins as is, and as long as they feel that they can get more by charging people for ebooks separately, they will keep doing so. Also, most publishers don't publish ebooks yet, so for them it's additional work to actually create ebooks. That's why you only see smaller, technical presses like PragProg or O'Reilly doing something like it - they already have the infrastructure to create the ebooks easily, and their audience is tech-savvy enough to benefit from it.
Seriously, is there anything people can do to help get these clowns kicked out of office? This is rage-inducing.
Oh, another suggestion (though not game-engine based) - the ongoing Live Free Play Hard series on Rock Paper Shotgun. It's great.
Nice, I like the idea of a weekly thread. Yahtzel - Girls EP is kind of chill electro I suppose. Don't hold me to that definition, I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. It's rather nice, at any rate.

I love the presentation!
It was posted on todayilearned subreddit recently, that's probably why.
that's pretty quackers alright :)
my ears are ringing ;)
Very nice! Looks like their album, "▲" is on bandcamp...
Pretty great :)
It's certainly an easy trap to fall into - and then five years go buy and you realize you have no more room in your garage to hold all the crap that you never use. I've been actively trying to get rid of things I don't actually use in my life... makes it easier. Though I still can't fit everything I have into a duffle bag. Maybe one day.
Howling Dogs by same author is even better.
I think birthday gifts tend to be more thoughtful actually. Christmas presents seem to much more likely be disposable, just because you have to give _something_ to everyone around you. Birthday presents allow you to focus on one person and figure out what they actually need or want.
Spacewar! was one of the first computer games - 1961-1962 (http://spacewar.oversigma.com/readme.html, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spacewar!) Pong was the first or second arcade game (with all the logic in hardware as far as I understand) - but not invented until 1972. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pong#Development_and_history)
That's amazing... those links deserve a post of their own!
Considering that they've been actively going after medical dispensaries in California, even though they are declared legal by the state, i doubt that passing these will change much in the feds' approach, unfortunately. One can hope though.
