http://snd.sc/ZEhhiE - Slightly Bluesy Happy Birthday, here y'all go. It looks like a scary virus link, but I promise it's just soundcloud.
Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica (It's pure genius, takes more than a couple listens though) John Frusciante - Niandra LaDes & Usually just a T-Shirt / Smile From The Streets You Hold The Velvet Underground - After Hours Can't get enough of these three
Did you guys know it's about a stalker? It's a very creepy song in its entirety.
Hello?
Any updates on this?
Thanks. I sent the original file to that fufflington email you messaged to me. Ya, I was impressed with it's sound quality when I first got it, was previously using a phone mic. And yup, it's a Sony IC digital recorder with a usb built in.
Hey, thanks man. Always nice to have feedback.
Thanks man, just recorded it. Going to to post it in the original right now.
Right on, do you have an email I can send it to? Also, I'd love to have a copy of the slideshow if that's possible. I enjoyed the ABC/Twinkle little start comp., would like to see what else arises in this. Edit: If you'd like, message me an email (If you can message on hubski, can you?).
I have my own blues interpretation of Happy Birthday, pretty simple and short, if you want I can try and record it and send it. All I got is a Sony Tape Recorder though so the quality won't be professional, but it'll be okay.
Oh, fasho, thanks a lot man.
How I Met Your Mother is terrible now. It used to be good in the beginning when they weren't constantly dragging out who the mom could be, but the novelty got old really quick.
And so it begins.
I don't think so. I think there will always be societies that want to keep their bloodline "pure". Whether they be racist, in a cult, or just different. Humans always do weird shit like that.
Kaoss Pad for effects.
Underrated: Eddie Hazel Overrated: Matthew Bellamy
Have you heard Thieves in the Night by Blackstar? If not, I suggest you listen to it. It's a rap song made from a quote from the book. Pretty sweet song too.
Kurt was pretty innovative. I think that's why he was put up so high. He defined an entire genre. I agree though, he's no number 12. As for his sloppyness, that's just part of expression. When the tone is so clean, I feel it starts to sound manufactured.
Just curious, what is it about Pearl Jam that appeals to you? I've always liked my brother's taste in music, but when he showed me Pearl Jam, I just didn't understand. Do you just like them or is there a certain quality about them that draws you? For example, Maynard and Adam Jones totally make Tool for me. Adam Jones' melting sounding guitar on Aenima's solo just tickles me in all the right places. That and Maynard's awesome scream are amazing.
Maybe a different perspective might help. I've been playing guitar for 4 years and although I am tough on myself, people tell me I'm proficient. I am purely self-taught, but I feel that if I had a teacher, it would've been a lot easier and quicker to get to where I am today. With that in mind, I do feel people can reach proficiency, but not mastery, as mastery may require more than 1 perspective. There are things you learn in person that you just cannot correlate or comprehend when using videos.
