Perta - From Fire Valiant Vermin - Sunday Best but honestly anything by her. Been completely addicted!
I missed them last night but hoping to catch them again tonight
They have been fantastic this past week!! Just going off like crazy up in Anchorage, AK. Here are some pics I grabbed from Sunday night at around 01:00
It's been really interesting for me to hear about similar stories happening in other states during the last few decades. Did they try to cut personal property tax in VA? Dunleavey just wants to cut and slash without doing any building up and our budget and coffers is already taking big hits because of his actions. A huge portion of our southeast communities has been literally stranded in their towns/villages because he decided it was right to shut down the ferry system. We are massive state, getting around isn't easy and the ferry was one of or the only option for a lot businesses in those communities to resupply. Which in turn makes the communities short supplied.
I was curious about it! Haha figured I'd call out and see who answered
I mean Herbert's "Dune" is an absolute classic and can easily be taken in as just one book without delving into the series. I'm also a big Kim Stanley Robinson fan and really loved his book "2312" for its seemingly very realistic depiction of humanity in the far future. Very hard-science fiction which can make it a little dense at times but well worth it in my opinion.
"Lullaby" I've just always loved the way it rolls off the tongue.

Always on the lookout for good books like this so thanks for the link! I haven't fermented any beverages before yet but I am familiar with fermented foods. Look forward to hearing the results of your cider experiment!
Ugh, that looks so good.
Happy Hub-day! I've been enjoying our games of Go! Would love to see a more detailed post on your cider. I've been gathering the equipment for a go at mead but love a good homemade cider.
Dude, you are like one of six people I follow. Keep up the posts, I enjoy your insights!

Good read. Interesting and little scary. I had to admit I chuckled a good bit about Adam Neumann's company WeWork transitioning to WeCompany in order to start up real-estate and education missions. It automatically brought to mind the book We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Maybe he wasn't so wrong in his prediction....
Seems strange to me that his wife would've gotten angry with him and not the media
I think you're just supposed to fill in the circumstances with nameless horror because that's pretty much all the subject seems to have experienced. When reading I was thinking about the lack of specific detail and the limitation of the main character's viewpoint being our only insight into the story's world. I would say that the goal is to put the reader on the same level of awareness as the thing in the basement and allow our minds to fill in whatever is upstairs. That is what makes it most relatable to the real world; our experiences will conjure up things we abhor to fill the gap in detail about what's outside the basement.
Long time love for Noah and the Whale. Good to see them being appreciated
Accepted!
There's a very slick tutorial/lessons sections on the site. Highly recommend.
I've only won about once or twice out of all the games I've played so far haha definitely not much hope here but I can feel myself picking up different things so it's fun to learn!
I made an OGS group for Hubski if anyone wants to join!
Done! I'm always down for a lesson! OGS has me at like 25k right now sooooo playing low but having fun haha
I've been devouring that site. So much fun
I was told that the best way to start out learning was to lose your first 100 games as fast as possible haha sounds a little weird but trying to do that actually helped a lot
If you ever wanna hop in an online game. Add me on that site, it's been very accessible to find matches.
I've had really great matches so far and met some people who have been very helpful with learning strategy. It's set up for a vast variety of different game styles from multiday to 10min matches. I was completely clueless coming into the site. Learned a lot about it with the resources of the site too. A lot of puzzle and lessons. And it's free!
The whole smorgasbord! Two turkeys and a ham this year. Ham was roasted. One turkey injected and roasted. One turkey brined and deep fried. This year was easily some of the biggest turkey successes I've had. Will be doing two small turkeys from now on instead of one large. Not pictured: Sweet and Spicy Bar Nuts, Smoked asparagus, bourbon ginger glazed carrots, shrimp fresh rolls, and all the desserts (there were a lot)
</3 Love you, Mr. Lee
I've never gotten around to watching The Martian Chronicles. I'd give that a go. Anybody have a quality download link?
