Death by free-fall. Not heights, not death in general, but death by free-fall. I have no idea why but the thought of falling from a fatal height makes me feel horrible. It could be that I have an easier time relating to falling than other kinds of death, as I've "fallen" from high places before (cliff jumping, bungee jumping, etc.) but have never really had an experience with any other deadly acts. It seems irrational to me, as there isn't too much else that truly scares me (not talking startling) that I can think of, and I've never been able to come up with any potential causes.

Because you don't know what is going to be done with it, quite simply. We live in an age where digital manipulation is not only (relatively) easy and cheap, but getting to the point where it's difficult to tell that anything has been done at all. Now, I'm not saying that the government is going to digitally manipulate phone calls made by you and pictures of you to frame you for some crime (although they could), but digital information isn't exactly the most secure.

Would you allow the police to place CCTV's all through-out your house and neighbourhood, workplace, grocery stores, gyms, etc. just so that they could make sure you weren't being robbed, or assaulted? Now what if they said the reason was to make sure you weren't going to rob or assault someone else, or to better protect a potential victim if you were to ever do that. I highly doubt many people would agree to this, honest or not.

As far as the last sentence goes, it's my belief that the government has far overstepped its bounds in regards to internet surveillance and information security. Going back to my last example, I'd be pretty livid if I found out that the government had installed secret cameras and recorders all through-out my life and were saving all data "in case it's needed in the future." In my opinion, it's the same thing, and I can see a lot more going wrong with it than the good it can provide society. They didn't need to monitor everything about everyone all the time before, they don't need to do it now.

I'm sure I could come up with plenty, but lately I've been listening to more punk lately, so I would have to go with Death From Above 1979. Raw sound and energy, and if you ever have the chance to see them live, take it! I've seen them live twice now and both shows were absolutely incredible. There's a certain raw energy in the air that I just haven't been able to find at any other show.

Novels don't have to be restricted by a single topic! When I write I find a fun little "game" to play with myself is to try and connect as many different ideas as I can in a some what decent manner. Besides, writing is like anything else in like. It's take practice!

Haven't participated myself but I find whenever I get in the writing mood, however rare it may be for me, the best thing to do is to just write. Don't read it, don't edit it, just write out until you don't feel like writing any more. And then stop, go back the next day, read, revise, and write some more. You may not write the best story for NWM, but anything is better than nothing!

Cool! If I'm free and can find a ride I might have to go check it out. How will I be able to find out when it's happening?

Wow! Love the arrangement and you can really tell the guy is incredibly talented. Awesome video.

Im from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I would post pictures but it's a pretty non-descript city. Our claim to fame used to be having a booming auto market (we're across the river from Detroit and were Canada's automotive capital until the collapse of the auto market), but now all we really have to our name is the highest unemployment, hermaphrodite births per capita, and I'm pretty sure we still have the highest pollution in Canada too (although me might have lost that title recently.)

All in all I can't really complain, but it's not exactly the most interesting place.

I'd have to go with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkvzGkgSQH0

After quite a while of feeling like nothing was ever really going my way and that things were just kind of shitty in general, listening to this song again made me realize that I am the only one that can turn that around. Made me start re-thinking my life, what I wanted from it, and how I would go about making that a reality. Because at the end of the day, you decide what's a problem in your life or not. Attitude is key! I was my own problem, and realizing that allowed me to start fixing it.
