Hmm. It's a toss up between: As Cities Burn: "Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest" Underoath: "Define the Great Line" Norma Jean: "Oh God, The Aftermath" All Christian post-hardcore bands. I'm not a Christian, but all songs have great messages on top of exemplary musicianship.
I think it's just the nature of the internet. I say nature, but there's much nurture. We've been conditioned to expect trolls, being blatantly cruel and hiding behind an account name. It's not Reddit's fault, necessarily. It's just comes with the territory and that's why I like Hubski. It's changing the scope of thought.
As a UI/UX designer, I'm pleased to have joined here. I love Reddit, but Hubski takes the cake on better design. Thank you for the intro!
Dark is perhaps resistance. Resistance being the inner ego constantly trying to champion the mind. It's the thing that stifles growth. By pushing it back, one expands his or her thought, intelligence, sympathy, etc. Like Krishnamurti says: "be a light to yourself." Burn away the dark.
Had the exact same thought. The men and women who lost their lives in WWII clearly weren't the ones who decided to back the communist agenda later on.
