"At the time, I had been dating a girl for only three weeks and was terrified,” says Joshua Goldshlag (Eve name: Two Step), a 35-year-old CSM member and computer programmer from Massachusetts. “I certainly did not want to mention that I had been elected as an Internet space politician.”
EVE appeals to me in an unhealthy way. I watch this video as a balm.
Yeah, I actually think I'd like it despite the warning video. This is why I've never, and will never, try it. After a year of playing the original Grand Theft Auto, I bought my brother Grand Theft Auto II for Christmas. He opened the gift, hung his head in dismay and said, "Oh great, there goes another year of my life,". I just don't have the time. I bet it's a blast though. I thought this example of the scale of Iceland vs US was interesting:The company employs close to 600 people, or 0.2 percent of Iceland’s population. (An equivalent U.S. company would have about 626,000 employees.)
In 1995 I bought an Ensoniq Soundscape Elite soundcard to run my sequencer. It came packaged with a demo version of Warcraft II - Tides of Darkness. I was bored so I started playing... and then, about four AM, finished the first chapter (the only thing included in the demo). My first thought was "I have to buy the game" and my second thought was "what the hell happened? It was 4pm the last time you checked." I never bought Warcraft. There was a period back before I freelanced when all I wanted to do was play The Sims. I think it was the control I wanted. I'd write screenplays instead. Still not sure which choice would have been better.
I love Eve, to bad my subscription ran out last month, this game is truly ran by the players and I have the up most respect for its developers they truly know how to manage a hands off online game. Bloomberg has been getting my attention lately with all the interesting content hes been putting out I should definitely keep my eye on him.
