I did this exercise sometime back where I tried to remember everyone in my 3rd grade class. I was surprised how concentrating on certain people lead me to remember ones I had completely forgotten. I could almost feel old data being booted when I did that.
Another interesting possibility is that we have not only different potential storage, but that our RAM can vary, be enhanced, degrade with time, etc. No doubt future generations are going to have an educational experience that is much more informed by neuroscience. I want to know what a good RAM-building exercise is.
