Seconded, it was never quite that bad for me but I cut it out of my diet almost ten years ago and haven't looked back. Did lose a significant amount of weight at the time, as well. I limit my intake to the occasional San Pellegrino or ginger beer on a road trip.

I even quit drinking alcohol mixed with Coke or Tonic. -Don't miss it either and can't believe I ever ruined whiskey with Coke.
