My heart goes out to the working poor who could not afford to quarantine. To the Healthcare workers who did their best to stay safe and who still fell ill. To those chronically ill who kept clear of the hospitals and Healthcare facilities that kept them alive until they could do so no longer.
There aren't enough tears. So I will mourn with rage and the fire of my anger shall never quench so long as those agents of the plague God walk free and happy.
As I read this article, I was reminded that one of the main arguments I hear people make about “the evils of socialized healthcare” is that they worry they’ll need to wait for care and won’t be able to get the care they need. So now... because people can’t follow basic principles of decency and civility, we still live in a system where we pay far more than the rest of the world... AND we get to wait for some surgeries. Thanks anti-maskers!Procedures such as knee replacements and colonoscopies will be among those delayed, but things such as cancer treatments and trauma surgery will not.
