Wipeout has come to the PS4. It's a 50GB download. Then if you want 2048 and Fury it's another 40GB each. That's 130GB of textures, bitchez. I have been playing this game, off and on (mostly off), since 1994. It is now in 4k. It is now HDR. It now has an extra set of controls so you don't have to give your thumb carpal tunnel holding down the throttle. And it now has accurate enough motion control via the controller that you can legitimately get around Sabenco Climb in a Goteki 45 in Venom Class without having to be a superhuman monster. And to you Smash Brothers losers saying "isn't that like F-Zero" no it is not go play Super Mario peon. Us nerds were blown away when Sony's first gaming console had a goddamn 32 bit processor with tech lifted from SGI while you peons were still blowing dust off of cartridge pins. It had yaw and pitch. And Bowser don't play here. Yet I find myself shooting Gregs in Destiny nonetheless because despite a few concessions to novice playability, Wipeout remains an extraordinarily challenging game.
