- The number of stem cells in our bodies decreases over time, along with their level of activity and "therapeutic potential," he said. While that does reduce their immediate usefulness within the body, Katakowski told us this diminishing functionality is actually part of a defense mechanism against cancer.
The guys that founded this company must be brilliant, handsome and amazing gents.
I'm envisioning tng saying this while looking into a mirror and smiling ear to ear.
You know me well am_Unition. Plus, it came from elizabeth... the goddess of travel. What a compliment! If you two are interested, the link now has audio to the interview and we cover a lot more ground. Cheers!
Yeah, thanks, earlier it was just "[AUDIO: listen to the interview]", with no media. Listening now. P.S. kleinbl00 and I talked about Forever Labs over dinner about an hour ago. We think you guys are OK.
Nah we didn't take any pics, I'm really bad at that. Yeah the audio definitely sounded sped up, I think they were trying to get it under the 10 minute mark, and they barely succeeded. At times, it makes you guys kinda sound like "NOWDAYSEVERYBODYWANNATALKLIKETHEYGOTSOMETHINTOSAYBUTNOTHINCOMESOUTWHENTHEYMOVETHEYLIPS...", which is pretty cool.
1. What happens to the stem cells should Forever Labs go bankrupt? 2. What happens to the stem cells should I die in a fiery car accident in fifteen years before I use them? 3. Do Hubski users get a discount? Thanks, and this seems like a really cool idea!
Great questions, all of which many people ask.... except #3. 1. Our patient agreement stipulates that Forever Labs is the custodian of the cells. You own them. Should FL go out of business, which I don't foresee happening, you could either take over the agreement with the bio-repository or you could have them shipped to another one. This holds true even if we don't go out of business. 2. Well, first off... drive safely. Second, we will destroy your cells unless you specify otherwise 3. If you have been on Hubski for at least 976 days, then absolutely. Seriously though, anyone that is a Hubski user that didn't sign up right before reaching out to us would definitely get the same friends and family discount we offer to our spouses etc. Ya'll are family. Use the "contact link" on our website and I'll reach out to you. Or email me directly at: steven @ foreverlabs dot co not .com .co cheers!
your name is so close to the one-eyed green dude from Monsters Inc.
HA! I wouldn't let Mike Wazowski store my stem cells. My kids haven't seen that movie. Think it's time.
Much like giving blood, the bone marrow reconstitutes its self relatively quickly. The reason there's an advantage in re-introducing them later in life is that as we age we have a less circulating stem cells and the ones that we do have become less and less effective at doing their jobs. This is thought to be a major cause of aging. You can learn more at our website. Cheers
