There are so many conflicting reports on nutrition. It is really hard to keep track of it all. One minute this is good for you. The next minute it is bad depending on which report from which organization is funding the research. Heck, just the other day, I read someone that there was a research that suggested that women who have breast implants enjoy sex more. Of course, the research was funded by a group behind breast augmentation.

Yeah, I think the main thing is to not over eat, and exercise when possible. Unless you have a specific health problem (e.g. diabetes), you should worry so much about exactly what it is you're eating (at least, as it relates to your health; environmental and social concerns are a different beast).

I remember researching whether or not we should "co-sleep" with out baby when she was born. All the studies said no because it was dangerous. Turns out they were all funded by crib manufacturers. It's only dangerous when the parents are obese or alcohol or drug induced. Such is life...

This sounds like good news for my sister. She's the kind of person who salts her food before tasting it, and then adds more between forkfuls. She's the kind of person who would salt a rasher.

TIL the term "rasher". It's always been "bacon" to me but I've no doubt it tastes wonderful no matter what you call it! -I'd skip on the salt though..

Nothing beats a nice rasher when the fat is juicy...

I went vegetarian as of Jan 1 of this year and bacon is one of the things I miss most. Actually all breakfast meats are pretty fantastic.

Quite true. I was vegetarian for about two years, and vegan for nine months of that. The Sunday morning fry isn't exactly worth mentioning without rasher or egg or sausage or pudding.
