I'm a lucky guy. Why? Because I have surrounded myself with really, really bright and capable people.
Have you?
If not, ask yourself why?
Life is short.
Don't suffer fools.
I have learned more from my friends than I ever did from a text book.
Don't suffer fools.
Surround yourself with genius.
----
To all of you hubskiers that have been feeding me your genius over the years "thank you!" I cannot reciprocate.
Don't suffer fools. My boss and I talk about this sometimes. We both transferred from one department to another (for different reasons and at different times). Our previous department was good, and I think we both liked working there. But there were a handful of what I can best describe as "characters." Not bad people, just people that you wouldn't invite out for a drink after work or would actively avoid carpooling to a meeting with. The area we're in now doesn't have that. Everyone's great, and it's a much better environment.Life is short.
The key word here is "suffer" - not fools. Don't suffer. There are many ways to leave your fools without diminishing yourself and without diminishing your fools. Don't suffer. Lear. Dost thou call me fool, boy? Fool. All thy other titles thou hast given away; that thou wast born with.
I think it meant "to tolerate" in the 17th century. The phrase "suffer fools" is Biblical not Shakespearean.
