this is why my parents' VCR still flashes 12:00 (and why they still have a VCR)

And it's also why the iPhone is so popular.

Having an android (And this argument only works in comparison to owning an iPhone) means accepting a teeny tiny bit of responsibliity for understanding how your device (I'm stopping using the word 'phone') works and what information you're putting on it. An apple device only really NEEDS your billing info to function.

More than that, having an iPhone means accepting that the device is what it is and if you don't like it, lump it. Fortunately the device does 99% of what its users want it to do.

Having an android means that if you want the device to do more than the 65-70% of what you want it to do, you have to enter the black arts of rooting and bootloaders.

The Play store is every bit as dysfunctional as the App store without a credit card.

Correct and I can't be bothered with that which makes my device as useful as an anchor on a duck.
