I agree that a migration is beginning, however I think the reasons in the second part of the article are probably more important than the cultural changes described in the first part. I grew up in the soulless burbs, lived some time in the city, and settled for a middle density college town (Ann Arbor) when I finally bought. People are pragmatic about these choices. As revived cities become more livable, they will attract people.
