Thanks. I missed that. I wonder why I am muted there. :( I am a noob and have no idea what I did wrong to earn that. Oh well.
Yeah you are most likely right. I honestly hang my head in shame about listed posts three and four. Bad form no doubt. That post bothered me and I was in a testy mood that evening but that is no excuse. There is no excuse.
Cedar is correct. It is because of comments in that thread. If I remember correctly that was one of the first times I encountered you here on Hubski. I'm sorry if it was a bad day for you, but It's nice to hear some humility about it. I'm okay with un-muting you, but at the time I saw someone I never wanted to comment on my posts. For the record, I don't currently plan on Blocking anyone ever, PM's are welcome, even from the few users I've muted.
Sorry about that and thank you for letting me know.
No worries, I filtered you because of it but if anything that's made your posts/comments stand out more and whenever I've seen your name I've stopped and read what you've said and it's not stopped me from re-sharing them when I have thought them valuable contributions. I think the problem with muting and blocking is it leaves little recourse to make up, and in this instance I would say that it was far too strong a measure as those comments seemed to be made out of character and, as you said, in a testy mood. Edit: You're unfiltered now friend :)
I'm glad it worked out between you two in this thread. I've also had a fair amount of success PMing the person who has muted me in the past. Filter might be a little different... mk and team, is there a way to know when you're filtered? "You are filtered here" or something? Probably more trouble than it's worth. Just a thought.I think the problem with muting and blocking is it leaves little recourse to make up
Since filtering doesn't affect the filtered person's use of the site, I don't think it is necessary. Filtering can be used for benign reasons, and I think displaying it would change that. Hush is similar. As mute (and block) does affect a person's interactions. I think it is best to make it clear.
Thank you. I really do appreciate the kindness and feedback.
