The comic images are fantastic and evocative. It looks like you started the watercolor with the eyes. Never start with the eyes. Faces are very difficult because it's one of those places where our brain is doing much more than seeing. Try to bring it together as a mosiac of shapes and shades while resisting the ideas of nose, eyes, mouth, etc.
I think I'm just going to do another watercolor drawing. I have a ton of that heavy paper. The drips I dropped on the watercolor pencil got way too indistinct anyway. There's a lot I'm happy with with the comic but it's an ongoing process so if one thing I do better in another section clashes with something I did earlier I'm liable to scrap previous work. It's not meant to be very long but it's turning into an endeavor. Thanks.
