What are your best advice for stressing down and relaxing. I think we all should share our best advice for each other. Who knows some might try them out and it might be life changing for them.
What I do is pretty simple, I make some tea, sit down on my carpet (its soft like a Persian carpet.) and just sit there listen to either nature itself or some traditional instrumental middle eastern music. It gets me to calm down and not stress about all the crap going on around me.
So how do you do? :)
I think this is the first time I've heard someone else describe this feeling aside from myself. This is probably the best way for me to relax.
I like to relax with tea or a diet soda, do some puzzles (e.g. jigsaw, Bejeweled, etc.), go for a walk, do yoga, meditate, or just lay in my bed and browse the web.
What works best for me is going for a run to the fields in my area. There’s a lot of wildlife there, and taking in the sounds and sights in combination with the constancy of the running motion helps me to reach a kind of meditative state that is very relaxing. If there’s not enough time for that, though, I usually resort to a good book or computer games.
Probably exercise, like running or weight training. Since my stress is mental, being able to get away from thinking about difficult problems or emotions is important. When I exercise, I can do something beneficial to myself while keeping my thoughts very simple.
I like to lay in bed and browse the internet on my tablet(Nexus 7). I use to use my iPad for this everyday until I cracked the screen. I love just browsing the internet and reading about anything and everything. I also like to lay with my wife and close our eyes and just relax and talk about whatever comes up very calmly. We usually watch Netflix everyday together and cook together too.
I like to juts bust out the guitar and play around for a bit. There's just something about the vibration from the neck being transferred to my hand. It's just so... cathartic and calming.
