Every time I read about this experience I am galled.Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo was recently acquitted of all charges against him in the shooting deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams, both black and unarmed. Thirteen Cleveland police officers fired 137 shots at them. Brelo, having reloaded at some point during the shooting, fired 49 of the 137 shots. He took his final 15 shots at them after all the other officers stopped firing (122 shots at that point) and, "fearing for his life," he jumped onto the hood of the car and shot 15 times through the windshield.
Sounds to me like he just wanted to be Rambo for a minute. With the wars drawing down... we have a lot of combat veterans who are prime candidates for positions within the FBI, police departments, CIA, etc. These guys are highly valued for having been in combat (and some positions within the FBI this is an absolute must.) I wonder if it's going to be a problem having ex soldiers and Marines policing the streets. My understanding was that Brelo is a veteran; not sure if he was in combat or not.
