The BSRI is a test used to measure masculinity-femininity and gender roles. It has 60 different personality traits, with 20 of them defined as masculine, 20 feminine and 20 gender neutral.

Below are a couple of the words that I didn't know before hand.
conscientious: Guided by or in accordance with the dictates of conscience; principled: a conscientious decision to speak out about injustice.
conceited: Holding or characterized by an unduly high opinion of oneself; vain.
I'm strong enough for a man but made for a woman.
What a world it was back in 1970, when to be a man you primarily had to be decisive, bossy, and unflinching. I went through the test as a 1970's man and scored 100% manly. Then I went through it as a 1970s woman, never taking leadership of any sort, always helping, helping, always helping, serving: unflinching service. Unflinching submission. But I didn't want to be too sure of anything - as women are famously indecisive and meek. I didn't even want to be 100% certain about being indecisive, so my second score was only 95% woman These days, I'm 100% human. As eightbitsamurai knows, I can kick ass when necessary - but most of the time I take leadership and try to get along. My last score was 72% man, 72% woman and 50% both -- which seems about right.
You scored 45.833 out of 100 masculine points, 58.333 out of 100 feminine points, and 52.5 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points. So I'm basically in the middle of everything? Or just confused.
Not sure what to take away from these numbersYou scored 90.833 out of 100 masculine points, 48.333 out of 100 feminine points, and 68.333 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.
At 68.33 for both masculine and feminine and 55 neutral it seems rather spot on for me. The side of myself that shows up for a given situation is mostly dependant on what it is and who is around as well as what is trying to be accomplished.
61.6% masculine, 59.1 % feminine, 61.6% androgynous I guess I can't decide which way I want to go
55 - Feminine 60 - Masculine 70 - Androgynous. Androgynous as fuck. I don't know anything about the test to speak for it's validity, but I've always felt more androgynous than straight up masculine. It's not very often I feel like I'm a feminine person. So I guess it was accurate in a way.
Historically it has been a very accurate assessment, but as we shift away from fixed gender roles it doesn't seem to be as effective anymore.
I can agree with that. Us versus them mentality is very ingrained though, so getting rid of it won't be easy.
Well absolutely. In my own mind, I'm looking for times when I go binary. Going binary is not quite the same as going postal, but
when I become binary due not to the world but to the limitations of language when I become binary in a richly textured and wildly random universe when I become binary because Western culture's holy books begin with a separation of light and darkness, heavens and earth, and a culture of separation... I know there's been a disturbance in the force. I've been thinking for some time of writing a screed called: How Do You Know When You've Gone Binary and When is It Okay or even a Good Idea? Binary thinking does wondrous things in science, but also is one cause of genocide.
32.5% masculine, 76.3% feminine, 73% neutral Kinda weird, a lot of the masculine traits on there are things people tell me I should be if I want to improve my life. So every time I got to one, I was like, "Oh...been meaning to do that." Next time I'll do better.
82 man points, 67.5 woman points and 55.5 both points. Well, I have encountered situations were older men thinks it is hilarious that the teenager in a dress is loud and stands up for herself.
It rated me as 72 feminine, 60.5 neutral and 41 masculine. I think this is a pretty good assessment.
