I haven't been here at Hubski long, but already I feel like we're childhood friends. Thanks to Google, I thought it'd be fun to see just how far and diverse our perspectives are.
I am around here somewheres.
Where in the World are you?
Cosmic! Like something out of To Kill A Mockingbird.
I am going to be literal right now. North Arlington, New Jersey.
I remember doing that nuke map thing. If I remember correctly, that is a small nuke but a nuke is a nuke and I would still be dead no matter the size.
Hey I'm in Bergen County! You're close to Newark right?
Yes, I am close to Newark. Newark is only three towns away. Where are you from?
Tenafly, NJ, about 20 minutes from NYC. I was just surprised to see another Joysy-an. I see you've only been here for a couple days by the way, so welcome to Hubski!
Thank you for the welcome. I have heard of Tenafly. My high school used to play them in sports.
One of the best so far. I'd love to spend a weekend there.
Snow in September!!! That is pretty wild even for Calgary. I hate driving in snow.
That's wild. It's +95°F here. That's perspective. I'd love some snow.
Probably not a Monday. minimum_wage has difficulty with Mondays. We had a lot of fun last time, even though the system crashed on me for an hour. You can also propose an IRC meet-up, at your conVeenience.
Not exactly. In R & J, the line was "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" Wherefore meant essentially "Why" - camarillobrillo simply asked "where art thou?" not wherefore. But you are probably looking at this on your small screen where reading is significantly compromised.
Near BeachHaven, a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand.
My parents and I lived in Virginia Beach a short time when I was a baby. The six degrees of seperation are closing in!
Well my dad was stationed at Apollo Soucek. We lived by Lake Christine. You're gonna get me up in the attic looking for Kodachromes before long.
I'm stuck here in Red Stick for now. Too many strings attached. When the moment is right I'll find my scissors. I can't stay in one place forever. That might be a good place to start moving on.
Here is a bridge I walk across pretty much every day to get to work:
Well you can't leave us hanging. Why your last day?
Oh! Nothing dramatic; the English schools just get super quiet over the winter here, so most of the teachers at my school will probably be off until January or so; there are some people kept around, but they're the ones who've been working there for years and are nicely entrenched. It doesn't bother me too much anyway, because I'm going to Spain to walk the Camino in two weeks.
In the middle of this, mostly.
