Colgate's #1 now, followed by American and SUNY New Paltz (in that order). I'm pretty confident I can at least get into (and pay for) NP, so I think those are all I'll apply to.

Colgate has some great teachers, but I've seen its students fall deeply into alcoholic torpor. Beautiful part of a beat-up Madison County.

Why not Binghamton? Same price as New Paltz, better education, BEST RADIO STATION EVAR (that's WHRW, 90.5 FM).

Yeah, I've heard. But I've also heard that that's not a necessary part of student life (a friend from my old debate team is studying there).

Binghamton is so large though, and they intend on growing. I can't handle a 20:1 student-faculty ratio.
