I, too, would be interested to learn if people actually live there or if they're predominantly tourist/commuter communities. I don't know if I could relocate to something so beautiful. I'd be afraid I'd start taking it for granted and/or the rest of the world would look dull and muddy by comparison. The Croatian coastal village surprised me the most. I'm not sure why--I guess I've just never associated Croatia with beauty (or anything, really). I wonder if living is cheap there? It would be nice to live the expat life for a year or so and just focus on writing.
I used to know a guy from Croatia. He was pretty well-off so the cost of living rarely came up, but rest assured that any area of the Croatian coast he ever mentioned looked stunning. For that reason, the pictures from Croatia, Norway, and Ireland were the only ones I expected to look as nice as they did.
