On one hand, it's reasonable that facebook makes deals with certain partners to give them advantage, provided that they are not using monopoly power. On the other hand, I would prefer if their platform was more open. In some ways, having a more open platform is a better business move because it makes for more innovation in the development space.
Facebook is also probably trying to pump up their numbers right now in order to strengthen their IPO at the possible expense of their longer term health
