I'm halfway to learning to use TOR.
Same here. I'm also thinking about looking into it. But TBH, I'm of two minds on this. In part, I don't think it's unreasonable that Facebook lets an apartment stage startup get into their feed. What does Facebook get out of it? It's not like Nike is going to let an 'apartment stage' sock maker start putting the swoosh on their socks. Facebook is a private walled garden. They don't owe these guys anything. At the same time, as I log in to Facebook less and less, I am becoming a less worried about Facebook and their designs to control our internet experience. It seems like it's always the same several 'friends' that are active on Facebook. For everyone else, it's kind of a Flickr/LinkedIn/email/MSN messenger hybrid. It's kind of convenient, but nothing exceptional, and continually more watered down. Furthermore, IMHO, all of these music startups are just recurring evolutions from cool to utter shite because they all must face the RIAA in time.
Facebook is also probably trying to pump up their numbers right now in order to strengthen their IPO at the possible expense of their longer term health
Facebook are fuckers, but I assume it won't be long until they're an exploitative monopoly if they keep this behaviour up.
Good articles. I for one prefer not to have my face logged by Facebook and all my personal interactions with the web sent to their ticker.
