Since spending a semester in London and getting a more intense view into electronic music, I have been listening to Feed Me's Calamari Teusday He is my definition of melodic electronic house. Give it a listen and tell me what you think! Another artist that just blew my mind with the way he does think is Pretty Lights who offers his music for free on his website! His shows are pretty light intense and beautiful. If you fancy taking some mind-altering substances, you should give this guy a try! His recent album A Color Map of the Sun was coupled with a visual project. Put this in full screen when you have some friends over. Beautiful videos and music! Enjoy!
listened to some Pretty Lights, i really enjoy it. kinda the same style as Tycho, i've also been enjoying his work lately, his newest album just leaked like, an hour ago or something.
Sure i got, is it safe to share on hubski though? i don't know the official stance on pirating. edit: u know what? f' it Here's the link
It's probably better to do that sort of thing in a private message, but honestly the founders of hubski lean so hard toward general internet freedom that it doesn't really matter. Also there aren't any official stances on anything here really. It's a 'know it when you see it' kinda place for now.
If you like PL, which I love, check out: https://soundcloud.com/griz/sets/rebel-era-1 Griz's music is free as well. Another group that is much more new to the scene "The Geek x Vrv" is a hip hop influenced sample duo much like PL. They're working with the exact same software as Derek Smith to boot. They're out of Paris, I've talked to them personally via Facebook, that is how new they are haha. Only a few thousand followers: https://soundcloud.com/thegeek And if you are into something a little on the heavier electronic side, another new face from the Toulouse region of France that I've come across "CloZee" has a new EP out today ($4 minimum) on top of a lot of free music on her soundcloud. She also is a very nice person, only has a few thousand fans on fb. She really has done some amazing work with the computer imho.
