This here is a shout-out to several Hubskiers that I would like to participate in something cool. If you are tagged here it is because I know you:
1. Play multiple instruments
2. Have recording gear
3. Dig similar music as I do

I know that there are various degrees of recording equipment in there. Therefore I'm going to recommend something that is audio sacrilege.... Let's one by one import the MP3 most recently provided, add our unique part and then re-post as a newly bounced MP3. Then, the next person will add their part to the MP3 provided... so on and so forth.
Make sense?
If not, let me know. I'll attempt to explain further.
I've provided the rhythm guitar tracks to the piece, it's really simple but it doesn't have to be......, who wants to go next? If all goes well, this could be a really fun project.
Who is in? Who wants to go next?
I now see why you didn't tag me... Speaking as a professional audio engineer, I make the following DEMAND: When you record and bounce, save out your individual contributions at 24-bit and upload them to me. We'll compare and contrast your finished product and my finished product. I'll show you why people still get paid to do this stuff.Let's one by one import the MP3 most recently provided, add our unique part and then re-post as a newly bounced MP3.
Actually, you jumped the gun. I was going to shout-out and see if you would final-mix the end product. When it's "done" can I email it to you? This is turning out to be a cool project.
Trying to find time for drums. With a family and short evenings, loud drums are hard to get recorded. Any other instrument would have been done by now, sorry everyone.
I'd personally love to hear the difference. I asked my buddy who owns a studio and has done the audio engineering on several big albums to put together a BOM for a modest home studio setup. I costed it out and it came to over $16,000 for a couple mics and a digital audio interface. A huge help he was.
Most of the bouncing has already been done if you haven't noticed already. I hope they still have the original recordings. I'd love to know more about audio processing. If you've got something interesting to show, I'll definitely listen.I'll show you why people still get paid to do this stuff.
Ooh, this looks fun! I can chuck in keys/synth if needed!
I'm in! But need to figure out where the most recent is if it's not already the one showing up-top....and then how to download/upload on here
My recording set up is embarrassing right now. I'll take a listen tonight when I get home and throw a track down only if it doesn't completely sound like crap :) On the positive side, I've got a new mixer and processor on order, so looking forward to that :P
Before you lay anything down, check back here for the most recent version. T-Dog already added bass (see thread) and I know that jonaswildman is working on something too. While it could be cool to have multiple versions, it might be cool to have a master version too that we all had a hand in crafting.
Who's cocering drums and possibly an extra guitar?
Drums would be great. Just made another post for this moving forward...
perhaps if you click follow #hubskioriginalmusicclub additions would show up on your feed. Since people seem to be adding to this thread, you could also "stick" it so that it shows up at the top of your feed. Then you could see if the number of posts (currently 8) gets higher.
T-Dog, jonaswildman, fuffle and others I included; we should do this in an ordered way. Who wants to take first crack at it, add their part and then share the MP3 for the next person to add to? Does anyone want to work on it today/ tonight? I'm looking forward to this!
Very cool! I'd love to try adding something. EDIT: https://soundcloud.com/doctorwatts/hubski-song/s-9M4yV I tried adding a bass track. very lazy EQing so if anyone wants me to re-do it or send them the isolated track or something let me know.
Awesome! fuffle, jonaswildman work off of this version. Gonna go grab some headphones and listen! Edit: I love it T-Dog it sounds perfect; melodic, subtle and a perfect tone IMO. Damn dude, wish you could see my grin right now. This is fun.
I enabled "soundcloud" to allow downloads. If you need me to email it to you, let me know. AWESOME!! Glad you are on board fuffle.
