Fun little diversion. Anything they got blatantly wrong?
Probably quite a few 'wrong' - but only in the sense of a book taking place in a state that is more famous than the one listed. The Scarlet Letter is arguably more famous than Walden, for example. I'm sure there are more instances where someone could pick a book that occurs in a particular state that is more famous (was objectively more popular) than the one listed.
Yeah, how would you say that? Hmmm. Maybe something like, "For every state, a book that takes place in it"...? Too awkward... I don't know. English is screwed up. In a programming language, I would express it like: http://play.golang.org/p/_07_RihlNa.
Actually, Middlesex has a really nice account of the Detroit riots as a backdrop to the story. Good book.
