Sounds like a good deal.
Barnes & Noble needs to double down on becoming more than just a bookstore. They've already diversified their inventory by selling dvds, toys, and even their own electronics. Many also have cafes now. I think all this has helped kept them afloat thus far in the face of the behemoth that is Amazon. But are executives at Barnes & Nobles just delaying the inevitable, or are they actually committed to diversifying and competing?
I exercise about 1-2 hours six days a week with a rest day on Saturday, which is more than what the study recommends. I've been doing this for almost 3 years now, and overall I think I feel much better mentally than before I started. I definitely look and feel better physically. I have more muscle, more energy, and a better posture. All this has helped me stave off (but far from eliminate) some mental issues like low confidence and anxiety.
It helps that English is the main language used in programming. A lot of programming syntax, reserved words, and keywords are all based on English. Most documentation is also written in English and only later translated to other languages. But if you want to stay on the cutting edge, you need to able to read English.
Linkin Park: "Some Where I belong". I listened to that song all the time back in middle school and high school. Too much angst!
I'm guilty of using the word awesome too much.
I doubt Disney will let this new extra cost eat into their profits without doing anything about it. Costs for visitors will surely increase across the board.
That's now fixed. Thanks for catching that haha.
Nicely edited. I've been avoiding Donald Trump related content the last few months until now. I almost forgot how ignorant he is.
This animation is definitely really cool though rough. I don't know too much about Warhammer 40K, but I do know that it had a heavy influence on Warcraft and Starcraft, two of my favorite game franchises.
Every now and then, curiosity gets the better of me and I decide to find clips of The Kardashians to watch. And every time without fail, I feel like I just killed some of my brain cells.
Holy smokes my mouth is watering now. Why do I keep clicking on food related posts when I'm hungry?
I wonder if Bill Gates has a bunker built somewhere.
It's really neat that nearly all the men are wearing a hat and suit. The uniformed apparel is a refreshing aesthetic compared to the hodgepodge of looks you'd find in NYC today.
Widespread use of renewable energy and electrification of most transport modes can't come soon enough.
Whoa this is crazy. I thought the anti-vaccination movement was just an American thing. I guess ignoring science is a global phenomenon.
I hope to complete a triathlon one day. I run and bike every week, but I struggle with swimming because I never learned how to do it properly and am kind of embarrass about seeking help.
I've always associated Orange County with new developments and boring suburbia. I didn't realize the oldest building in California is located there! I'll definitely need to check it out one day soon.
For real. Michael Jackson is the only musician on that list I've listen to more than Talking Heads.
Sounds like a neat project, but it doesn't look like it will scale or be sustainable in the near future unless more of it is somehow automated.
I'm a big fan of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He's not a hard hitting food critic (and I'm not sure if he even qualifies as one), but I always thought that the best time to dine at a restaurant was when Guy Fieri visits to film. His visit won't be a secret thing since his show is highly publicized, so you have an idea of when to visit. And when do you visit, you know the owners will do everything in their power to make sure their restaurant is as clean as possible, that they're using the freshest ingredients, and that they're at the top of their game.
Themed socks (with characters on them) are my go-to presents with a high ratio of appreciated / low-effort. They usually come under $20 depending on the quality, they're easy to find, and it's not difficult to get the size right for the giftee.
I've been playing this game wrong. Thanks for the advice.
Driving in itself can be fun and relaxing. It's being stuck in traffic and dealing with road rage that riles me up sometimes.
The collective political strength of NIMBYs has led to soaring housing prices across the country, increasing automation has reduced employment and force people with jobs still to work longer hours to justify their positions, and because of the above, there is a growing resentment towards people who look or act different from you.
There's still many jobs that won't be automated in the near future, but warehouse jobs aren't one of them. Those workers can barely support themselves as is. What will they do when their warehouse jobs are automated? Not everyone can retool to find new, better jobs. But even those will become scarcer in the future.
