Even though I see a fair amount of electronic on here already... I can always add more! All of these artists I've listed have large catalogs of great triphop and other similar IDM. Except Excision, he's got like 3 chill tracks and a whole lot of dubstep.

Bonobo - Recurring Bonobo - Black Sands Bonobo - Ketto Excision - Sleepless Emancipator - Safe in the Steep Cliffs Infected Mushroom - Avratz Tycho - Dive Tycho - Elegy Blackmill - Lucid Truth

Never read this before but man... That's good

Oh man Miracle is one of my favorite Blackmill songs! I also see where you're coming from on the Excision track, but personally I can chill to metal and stuff so it's not too bad for me. Actually I haven't heard either of these two tunes but they were both great!

Emotional and pumped up are a little different for me. For emotional I'd have to go with the one, the only Your Hand In Mine by Explosions in the Sky. Also Wisona by NicolArmarfi because feels. To get pumped up I'd go with a different type of music... Work Hard Play Hard by Wiz Khalifa always gets me goin' as does Some Nights by Fun Finally, nothing gets me more excited than hearing the intro to Cygnus X-1 by Rush except maybe Xanadu, also by Rush.

A lot of what I've come to listen to has been suggestions from friends. If you've got people ya know that are as interested in music as you are, talk to them about it! You'll find out about new artists for sure, but whether you like them or not is up in the air. Also, internet. Spotify is great because playlists are awesome and you can search for free music on there all day. Also if I find an artists I like I'll generally google them, look through the Wiki page on them and find the rest of their releases, other bands on the same record label as them, etc. And then go listen to as much of their stuff as I can and check out some other works that are similar. And if you know exactly what you're looking for, check out places specifically for those kind of things. Reddit has some great (and less than great) music subreddits that, depending how active they are, may help you find some new tunes similar to what you already like.
