Was at a festival and went to a crystal workshop out of curiosity. The instructor started of saying whether it's scientific or placebo If the desired effect is accomplished does it really matter. I don't buy into crystals but I can't argue with an end result however it's achieved. These things get taken out of hand with people quiting legitimate medical treatments to pursue homeopathic option that are under productive but in unhatmful ways I can support whatever.
Crazy times we live in, one reality star candidate and they are all talking shit on twitter.
I've been on a weird sleep schedule running 3-630pm till 10pm-12am for about two weeks. It's been terrible for seeing friends but awesome for productivity. I wake up with nothing to do but clean, read, and draw and dj, instead of going to work tired, I'm awake and ready to go and in a productive mood. I even have time to run errands after if neccesary. It's been wonderful for keeping me out of trouble too haha. It's easy to stay in waking up that late, and it's been nice for my sense of balance mentally. I'm trying to fix it tonight though. Once I'm back on something regular we'll see if the party animal in me died a quiet death or has just been hibernating haha.
Any chance of creating a tag for this particular subject? I haven't been posting long enough to add my own tag.
Maybe just a local thing. I've never experienced that. Can't complain either, cooking is a more skilled job and way more stressful. Edit: to complain about everyone back of house getting paid to little. Regardless of position getting paid 9-10 an hour on a Saturday and catching shit from people making at least 5 more an hour on average for being in a good enough mood to tolerate the occasional asshole customer is frustrating as hell. I've been serving and bartending for the past 2 years too. A fake smile does deserve that much of a wage difference. Bartending I'll accept only because it's part baby sitting and requires knowledge of recipes.
Song from my teenage years about dishwashing. In my experience it pays at least a dollar and a half less then a cooking job, it is much less stressful thiugh. If you get to choose your music it's almost serene outside of making little more than minimum most of the time and leaving work wet consistently. After dishwashing for almost 3 years straight at different places in different states I'm glad I've built a resume where I'm only touching bar glasses.
The painting looks awesome. Good luck on the homebrew? What style are you going with off the bat?
My last roommate had a 0retty large collection of pedals and I loved creating a wall of ambient noise then noodling over it. I can't say I ever made anything usable but it was fun.
Buot to head into work. I've been working mostly morning now which I'd awesome. Getting tired at 11pm is kinda crazy for me though.
Not necessarily resolution but set goals to stop doing cocaine and drinking so much as well as get a consistent sleep schedule. Lot easier to wake up at a regular time when you're not yakked out till odd hours of the night haha. Had some legitimate withdrawals I had to sleep my way through which is a very sobering and perspective enhancing event. All together it was easy to drop through, I hit a point in my life where I wanted to be able to productive and financially stable more than I wanted a alright time with friends and aqauntances trying to kill their respective pains and boredoms. All the shaping up has been giving me the time and energy to kill it at work and put way more time into my hobbies. It's been a rewarding and affirming experience.
There's nothing wrong with being assertive, especially when you're spending money.
Chilling in between shifts drinking a triple ipa that is malty enough to balance the 133 ibu nicely. I spent the morning working on a walk in cooler and learning to wire lights. The fuse box is a lot less intimidating now that I know which parts of it will kill me haha. Training a friend tonight so I can focus more on projects around work. Got asked to dj at Club around here for "First Friday" which is a big night for people to come to the city for art and music, it's not a huge deal in general I guess but a big deal for me! Should be fun. The power ball drawing is tonight. I haven't bought a ticket but I'm enjoying the mania and hearing people's plans if they win.
I know a painter who uses occult topics as a source for inspiration. He used to be part of a coven when he was younger. He doesnt hold much stock in it now a days but has said things get funky if you adopt that worldview. He actually let me borrow the two books I'm reading now; "Moonchild" by alister crowley, and a book about different demons, spirits, and faires across different cultures. I'd like to see a higher resolution photo, there not much to make out in what you posted. Give us a link to the ritual though! It'd be nice to have some context.
That Arthur c. Douglas quote about the universe being so infinitley, uncomprensivley, unfathomablley, ridiculously, gargantuan comes to mind.
