I find it funny when people with supposed very different beliefs act the same. The libertarian who smears and makes an enemy of their opponents just like the dictator.

I see this kind of behaviour a lot in my Grandmother who grew up and lived most of her life in the Soviet Union. She is scared of anti-government dissent and tries to discourage it. She fears when people go on the Internet and talk about politics. I find it odd the way she tries to censor her own and others actions to try not to oppose the government.

I think the article seems to be a little to eager to blame popular books on the problem. I don't think this problem is really that different than it was years ago. They seem to be content with shoving books that kids clearly don't like and thinking that that makes them better readers. It does, but it short term type of way. I think it might be more important to encourage appreciation for reading itself. While I still think Shakespeare and the likes are necessary to challenge readers, books of a lower reading level that students enjoy should not be discouraged either.

It runs so slow through Wubi that it gives a bad impression. I think the USB installer is so easy at this point that pretty much anyone can use it.

Should we steal movies because the copyright is morally ambiguous? By the same token, it's OK to rob banks because the mafia might have them.

Piracy is still stealing in the same way copying answers off of someone else's test is.

I find it funny how they portray the reason they are under attack somehow being related to freedom. They are facilitating the theft of copyrighted content; that is why they are under attack, not "for beliefs of freedom of information".

Interesting how lately the trend seems to be for closer elections, when before you had things like the 1972 election. Additionally, it's interesting to see how in the 50s and 60s the democrats stopped being supported in the south as the party's goals changed.

Definitely live steaming. The ability to watch, for instance, a robotics competition that wouldn't have made it to TV is really incredible. It allows people to watch things live that would otherwise not have made it to a mainstream form of media. Youtube has had a similar effect, only with pre-recorded videos.

This, and technical issues, is why reddit hasn't added this ability in the 7 years it's been around. Even with comments it's happens occasionally, which can be frustrating. I don't see why someone would really need to change the link anyways. If it's a different link it's worth making a new post. That being said, the title is something that I think is worth being able to change.

I think the gender issue that is involved is much more difficult to combat than the situation factors that lead to the increased rate. Changing culture is especially difficult and will require a lot of effect on the part of society. While we inching in that direction, we are still a long ways off.

I think that it will lead to a swift end to North Korea as we know it. Even if the US doesn't nuke NK they would probably take out their leadership within 24 hours of the attack. In addition to that, I think the US missile defence system could stop the missile before it reached the mainland.

I don't think that either China or Russia care enough about NK for them to go to war over it. They even agreed with the 2006 and 2009 UN resolutions.
