"Technology celebrates connectedness, but encourages retreat." Such a tough sentence to digest. Its completely true that the more we devote our lives to technology and social media, the more we divert away from face to face, the less effort we contribute to a physical society in which we all are. Some simple things which happened years ago, say leaving a mobile phone in another room while eating dinner is a changed discourse. Now, in a university hall of residence's dining room, smart phones battle for space with plates and tweets compete with the constant volume of the general chirp. I believe social skills have already begun to lack.

Yo Hubski! Having a flick through the feed I didn't see much hip-hop. Being new here I don't know the people behind these screens all over the world, the tastes they have or how they see the world in a cultural perspective. My cultural perspective has been drastically moulded in the past few years from this man: Tom Scott. His disdain for the music industry might sound a little too cliche coming from this small-time artist, but the simple (and sometimes complex) contextualization of life within his music provides moments of clarity within the world I, among others, desire to thrive in. The linked song: Sunday is one of his earliest tunes from an album dubbed "Just another week" If you pursue deeper I'd recommend Radio, State of mind and His song for political action; (@Peace's) Kill the PM, Cheers.
