Excellent review of one of my favorite albums. To me, "Is This It" is the perfect early antidote to a world that is just on the verge of being flooded with autotune sugar-coated garbage. So simple. They're like what the Beatles would've sounded like if they had the chance to be influenced by Punk before forming.
I actually disliked her a lot for the first couple of seasons. But as time, and the series, went on - I found myself actually enjoying the character a lot more and appreciating what she was bringing towards the show. Marie on the other hand... X_X
Terraria was the biggest gaming surprise for me of the last few years. I've put more time into it than I'm comfortable admitting. I hope that 2 adds some quality of life improvements - better multiplayer features, for example. Maybe even persistent servers that aren't player-run. Can't wait to see more.
What a fascinating read.
I love VGM with a passion - but I definitely have a deep hunger for all things music. So I wouldn't say that I listen to it exclusively, but I do listen to it often while I'm at the PC, which I believe shows a love for it.
Wow. As morally "grey" as it is that something like this could exist, it was pretty incredible that the power of the internet made something as wild as the Silk Road possible. That being said, I'm sure that before long something will take its place. It took this long to shut down one Tor site. It'll take just as long to take down the next one.
Every trailer for Super Mario 3D World gets me more and more excited. Nintendo is finally starting to hit pace on the Wii U. I'm going to need a 3DS soon as well - I've got my fingers crossed for a special edition XL coming out around the same time as "A Link Between Worlds" but that prayer may go unanswered.
They are singlehandedly responsible for getting me into Psychobilly. First song I heard by them was "Carry Me Home" on Guitar Hero II. Funny how video games can be such a good medium for bands to break new markets.
I was lucky enough to catch this band called July Talk opening at a show a month ago, and they hooked me. They sound like Tom Waits doing guest vocals on an entire Metric album. Guns & Ammunition is a great example of what they sound like. The downside is they've only got one album at the moment, so not a lot of listening to be had.
