Seeing a lot of East and West Coasters, anyone else here from Chicago or the Midwest like me?
Anywhere in particular on the North Side? I go to school in Chicago, can't drink beer though.
I think its going to be the continuation of Korean war, the second that the missile is determined to land in American territory, South Korea, or Japan, salvos will be launched by either three of those countries, which will lead to a quick peace treaty. I think a country like China, if they would publicly ally themselves with N. Korea, wouldn't put troops on the ground but would supply N. Korea with weapons, etc. while facing heavy sanctions from the EU. Russia wont ally themselves with N. Korea, but they will sell guns to them without any NATO trouble. I wouldn't say unit would be world war III in terms of battles, but either a proxy war (if the US isn't directly hit) or a continuation of the Korean war in which the US throws its full military support behind.
I think the Internet is different because not everyone has access to a studio and a satellite dish, or print and deliver enough newspaper across across a country as well as a government could. But most people have access to a phone, laptop or just an old dial up connection. But unlike other mediums, the Internet is directly traceable. If a rebel is posting to twitter, Facebook, or some other social website, anyone can trace it, not only to the person who posted it, but to people who "liked it", shared it, and retweeted it and potentially giving up the position of sympathesizers to a rebel cause.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk8x3V-sUgU&feature=yout... I found this video a while back and I think has some valid points to internet democracy and that it is a double edge sword. If the internet can spread democracy, it can be used to quell it as well.
I wonder why they limited it only to mathematics? Are there other free publishers out there for the areas? I cant imagine what the publishers reciprocation might be.
I was 7 as well, and all I can remember from school is the teacher closing the blinds and us not being able to go out for recess. When went home and wanted to watch Ed Edd and Eddie all I saw was the footage on repeat on literally every channel.
Yeah, ill be 19 in a few hours and I was going to bring a friend cause she is really into jazz. I live next to Saint Charles, so I'd thought it be cool to listen to some music and relax. I can check with the pub, if you have a phone number or email.
How come anti-monopoly laws do not apply to these companies? Obviously they are price gouging their own customers in their respective regions, as evidenced by your example. How sub-par and expensive must a service be in order to get government regulators on it?
Do you think you will ever revisit any topics down the line? Obviously there is enough content to have different podcasts for a while, but it might be interesting to see how views have changed if anything major takes place (If something is found on Mars, etc.). And if you need someone to contribute, im up for it.
I might be able to go, seeing as I have Monday off. Is the pub 21+ or can anyone get in?
Yeah I like the vibe that sound and music play. And the mosaic formats reminds of a NPR program, I can't remember the name however. The sounds quality is pretty great when compared to other startup podcasts. Can't wait to participate.
